  2. Hi, best wishes, don't worry it is normal, my surgery is tomorrow and if I think too much on it I also have second thoughts, but I know this is for the best and will take one day at a time and cross the bridge when I get there. Keep focused and stay on track and enjoy the journey.
  3. I had a two week "liquid" diet It consisted of two Protein shakes a day and a Lean Meal 1 a day. My meals consisted of 4 oz of Lean meat or Fish and non starchy vegetables, i made sure to drink minimum 64 oz of Water per day and by choice I sticked to liquids the last two days. I lost a total of 19 pounds in 11 days. In my pre-op visit I had a very thorough appt. I was seen once again by my surgeon and went over the whole process and ensured aI had no doubts, then saw the head nurse to review medical conditions, primary doctors info, medications, past surgeries, complications if any, they gave me a special cleanser to scrub with the night before after my shower and to shower again in the morning with instructions to not use any lotion, powder, etc., then the nutritionist went over the stages of the diets, saw the anesthesiologist he explained step by step all the process verified information collecte by head nurse, finally I was sent to registration and had more blood test, urine, ekg, Xrays and was instructed in everything to do upon my arrival to the hospital on the day of. They gave me instructions even where to park. On the day of upon arrival I was given some wipes where One for each arm, leg and chest and then the nurse scrubbed my stomach. I had an allergic reaction to the torniquette and they also found some fluids in my lungs so my surgery was postponed for the 14 Jan 15 so my journey continues. My reccomendation is to make sure you understand the whole process and call your surgeons office and ask, ask and ask!! Best Wishes and many Blessings
  4. Mybsurgery is on the 12 and I have not cheated with the diet. I am allowed one lean meal per day 4 oz of lean meat and some green vegetables and even with that it has been so hard, I felt sick the first three days. Nnausea, headaches and tremors. I plan on last two days just stick to pure clear liquids. You're almost there, Good Luck

  6. Tina it is normal to be nervous and I understand your husband, nevertheless, I dont think is choosing between your husband and your surgeon. I strongly believe it should be what you want and the surgeons experience in your needs. Good Luck
  7. I am in my eigth day, not sure how much is my calorie intake but should be close to yours. My surgery is on Monday. My first day with the shakes was a nightmare, but got used to them and their not bad at all. I use Isopure, chocolate and vanilla in powder form and apple-melon aand passion fruit in liquid form. Although the powder form tastes better I have a variety to choose from and not get tired of the same thing. I am allowed a lean meal a day, but plan to stick to liquids last 2 days. Wish you the best of luck and just have faith that God is in control!
  8. My surgery is on the 12th I've been in the pre op diet since last tuesday. I have 1 lean meal a day. I have not cheated but have been tempted. Nevertheless, I am feeling stressed and moody!
  9. I'm actually in my pre-op diet and in my instructions were to substitute two meals with a protein shake and have 1 Lean Meal a day. Ex: Lean Cut of meat-beef, chicken, pork, grilled or broiled fish, low fat or fat free cheese and cottage cheese and non-starchy vegetables -broccolli, green beans
