  1. Hey WLS family! I just finally posted my first video for my weight loss journey! I'm so self conscious and nervous so please watch it and subscribe and let me know what you think! I'm looking forward to sharing my journey with everyone!
  2. I had my sleep study weds night. They ended up doing a split study so the 2nd half of the test I had the cpap hooked up. I went to my follow up today and I have severe OSA. I'll get my cpap next week! Surgery is one month from today!
  3. I have a bunch.. But I'm not sure if they qualify as weird 1. chocolate Peanut Butter milkshakes. 2. Alligators. Hot dog, pickle, mayo and shredded cheese all in a hotdog bun. 3. Salty potato chips dipped in cream cheese. Any type of appetizer
  4. Lucky! I had to complete like 3 appointments before I could get a surgery date! Luckily my boss is super flexible and I have been able to adjust my schedule! My pre op diet starts the 6th of March. I have started with cutting out Soda today.. So far so good. I'm a caffine addict so my NUT told me to supplement the Water drink mix w/ caffeine for a week or so, and then ween myself off of that.
  5. Chile iced coffee protein reminded me of the international delight powdered coffee that my grandma drank in the late 90's. It wasn't as good as starbucks, but it got the job done. It's definitely not a bad idea to try a sample before you buy a giant tub!
  6. I am actually pre-op still! My surgery is on 3/20.
  7. My post op diet is in one month increments. Days 1-30: full liquids Days 31-60: purée food Days 61-90: soft food Then I transition to regular..
  8. Good Luck! I think I'm 100% comfortable with my choice although it took awhile to get here. Happy thoughts to you
  9. That's awesome! You had an easier process than me! . My only issue is getting the sleep study in before surgery!
  10. Let's keep in touch! We can go through this crazy journey together!! I'm so excited for you!
  11. 1 Crossing my legs 2. Being able to shop like a normal person 3. Having the confidence to be more active 4. airplane seats 5. Fitting on roller Coasters.. I've never not been heavy, so these will be firsts!
  12. I hope it comes soon! I am so excited for you! It's funny, I was not nervous at ALL until they scheduled my surgery. I am now a bundle of nerves! Hpoefully I have enough on my plate to stay busy!
  13. Thank you so much for the Prayer's! I will be praying for you also!
  14. Thank you so much! I have been very blessed as this process has went smoothly, and almost to easy. The only think that could possibly delay my surgery is if I can't get my sleep study in on time!
  15. You are obsessed! But I am too! I am being sleeved on 3/20/15. Luckily I have so much going on before then, that I can't believe that one month from today I start my pre-op diet! I am moving at the end of this month, so that will keep me busy for awhile! Good Luck!
  16. 3/20/15. I start my pre-op diet 3/6/15. I am so excited!
  17. I am pre surgery a size 20. My ultimate goal would be a 8/10 post surgery. Any smaller and I wouldn't mind either. I can't even fathom being a size that's not a double digit!
  18. Hey all! So i started my journey in January. My last appointment before I go to insurance approval is Monday! surgery is typically 5-7 weeks after approval which would make me a March sleever! So excited! Im going to be starting a YouTube vlog to document my journey in just a couple of weeks! Good luck everyone!
  19. I will! Thanks for the interest! . I am in the process of moving and going through my pre op appointments so as soon as I'm settled I'm going to start filming!
  20. I have a mirena also, and I asked the same question at my inital visit! They Said it should be fine also!
  21. Thank you for all the answers. I guess my surgeon likes to things a little different. I will of course follow his protocol, but its nice hearing other peoples experiences.
  22. I had my inital consultation yesterday and the PA was going over the post op diet. It seemed a little extreme to me, and from what i've read- most people's aren't like this. Obviously, I will do whatever the MD tells me to do, but I was just curious to if anyone will have a similar post-op diet as I will have. Post-Op: Days 1-30: Full liquids Days 31-60: Purees Days 61-90: Soft Foods Days 90-?: Transition into regular foods.
