  1. I was in the beginning stage of a cold or some sort of a respiratory virus on the day I was scheduled for surgery. My Dr said no to surgery that day and I was relieved . It was a good call, I ended up with a fever of 102 and it settled in my chest. It would've made for a difficult recovery from surgery. I rescheduled and had surgery 3 weeks later. It all worked out, it was just a nuisance to reschedule all of the plans I had for the recovery from surgey. I am happy we rescheduled.
  2. It's been four weeks since my surgery so I am still on soft foods. I have been to restraunts several times. I usually look online at the menu to decide if there is anything on it that will work. Usually certain soups and tuna salad will work and I suppose eggs could be ordered for breakfast. It not as easy at this stage but options will open up slowly when I move to the next stage.
  3. Mine is the same as yours, only I didn't have to do a liquid diet pre op.
  4. It's been three weeks since my surgery. I felt calm too before surgery. I had plenty of moments of stress beforehand . Surgery went well and recovery was much easier than I expected. The worst part was trying to get the fluids down the first week after surgery and I was moving a bit slower than usual. Otherwise, it's been a good experience and I'm happy I had surgery.
  5. I had surgery at 11:30am and went home later that day around 8:30. No problems .
  6. Crush the pills that can be crushed and add the powder to an ounce or so of crystal light. Some pills that are time released can't be crushed.
  7. I have Aetna . On the 31st of December I went in for my sleeve and had to reschedule because I could feel a cold starting. There were no problems with the reschedule, I called and was given another date of January 20th. I showed up on the 20 th and had my sleeve with no issues. Good luck!
  8. I go in tomorrow as well. Super nervous!
