  1. Use this time to do research, collect samples, and educate yourself. I prepared by giving up fast food, soda, cleared out my kitchen and started at the gym.
  2. Some people have an actual addiction to food, like alcohol or heroin. The problem is you still need food. There are nutritionists as well as therapists that specialize in eating disorders. I hope they are near you. Please don't sabotage yourself. You are worth this life change!
  3. Mine stuck for about two weeks but i lost inches in that time. This morning I hit ONEderland!
  4. I travel alot and am learning quick. Check out restaurant menu ahead of time and decide your order. As Woo woo said, divide immediately. I do take some protein supplements with me just in case. Order appetizer and tell them you want it served with entrees. Pack protein bars for the plane so you aren't stuck with crackers. Good luck everyone! Off to NYC!
  5. @@Chrystee I totally hear the same voice that this will be a fail like all the others. The difference is when the scale stopped this time, we didn't give up and order a pizza. Thanks to our sleeve we kept going and YEAH its still dropping. Sorta like all my pants are! Friend me on MFP if you want.
  6. @@heav85 I don't trust myself. I keep everything in My Fitness Pal so I'm accountable.
  7. Go girl! I lost 3lbs while i was in Vegas and it's still dropping. NYC this week so getting lots of walking in. Picked up a nasty cough/cold so I'm really focusing on liquids and protein.
  8. If i could delete this topic i would. JCG go harass someone else. You're just bullying now. Ive never eaten hot fudge in my life. You do experiment and learn. Right now I'm in Vegas on full comps and making good choices. Not even craving alcohol. Will spoil myself with spa treatments instead!
  9. Stayed off the scale a couple days, got on today and it's moving again. Yeah!
  10. I've been doing 500 and am thinking i should be increasing mine.
  11. I've heard of that when you need to get your calories or liquids up. Are you doing any heavy working out? I know my back is hurting again this week and i miss my celebrex
  12. Mine told me that the noise would stop.
  13. @@Chrystee I'm not allowed to lift weight (limit 10lb) until at least 6 weeks to let my stomach heal. I keep getting the same past diet fail feelings, like this surgery won't work for me. Today i didn't get on the scales even.
  14. First you are viewing your surgeon as the enemy. She's there to help you. If you're not getting enough fluids then she wants to supplement for your own health. Some people struggle in the beginning with fluids but it gets easier. You have to be willing to change for your own best life. I know in my preop, it was all about the fluids. Did you go through all that? Did you commit to doing it before surgery? It's all about change. Just sip constantly. Add Crystal Light or Mio so your water is flavored. Good luck.
  15. Two weeks out, no pain, no nausea, no problems getting liquid in. Scale has stalled but it's been one of my easier surgeries.
  16. @@Chrystee Awesome for you being a runner! Even more shocking, a NUT that hates exercise? Lol
  17. I expected it but not this soon. I must be losing inches though because I now fit into a Misses XL! I even went to another store to make sure! Lol
  18. @@NewgirlfromMd @@Chrystee Keep posting ladies. I'm in the same stalled place and this is encouraging. I have no problem getting things down but have been working to keep under 600 calories a day with a fair amount of walking. Keep plugging away.
  19. Exact same here @chanel22. When i added protein I pretty much stalled. Frustrating but in week3 and still following rules. I added prilosec back as well and that helped with the knawing and noisy stomach.
  20. Yeah South Jersey! You got this @@momfromjersey22
  21. Aspira in Vineland NJ, Dr Attia. Great hospital experience.
  22. I was stomach growling, wake me at 4am, eat a french fry crazy hungry. Dr said acid can mimic hunger. Started prilosec and doing so much better!
  23. Inspiring article. Just sleeved, finding my way and stories like yours make me believe i can do this. I have a Warrior Dash booked in August!
  24. Jersey Girls are tough. You got this.
