  1. The first 3 days definitely were the worst. I just tried to get as creative with my pre-op diet as I could. And yes you really do see how addicted to food you really are. But being a few days post-op now it was oh so worth it. Good luck on your journey ????
  2. Omg yes small world, and yes Mercy was the hospital. I was let go at about 10:20 Wednesday morning. Wednesday was ok pain wise cause of morphine still in my system. Come Thursday say 1 or so in the morning, all hell breaks loose in my body (my mind really) lol. I had my first stomach acid reflux attack. I was so scared to vomit. I didn't thank goodness, but nonetheless it was still traumatic. I was praying to the powers that be, for a miracle healing right then and there.. Well the powers helped but I was still in some pain. Each day gets better, pain is still there but I'm able to mover more comfortably. I'm just taking it as slowly as possible with anything. And that seems to work. I'm down 16 pounds from 2week pre-op and another 10 from surgery this week, so a total of 26 pounds yay me.. Thanks for reaching out. I'd love to stay in contact ????
  3. Good luck getting information sent to you. I've called them 3 times and given all information they asked for and still nothing sent to me. I'm going to try one more time, then that's it.
  4. Congratulations ????????????
  5. Yes we are all very lucky.. Congrats on your date and Godspeed on your recovery ???????? Almost here ???? yay
  6. Congrats ????
  7. I had surgery Tuesday, and woke first few days with acid churning and making me feel like something bad was gonna happen. My dr prescribed some meds for it, and it totally has helped. Good luck making yours go away..
  8. In hindsight, I'm glad for my 2 week pre-op. It prepared me for the new way of eating for a bit. It prepared me for the post-op life ????
  9. I believe my throat is sore from surgery. My dad is a retired Ear, Nose & Throat doc and he looked at it and said it probably is an canker formed from the tube they put down my throat during surgery. It sure does hurt. I am very tired tonight and freely extra queasy. I am just about to go to bed and hope for a better day tomorrow. I wish you a better tomorrow. Each day gets better!! Any weight lost yet for ya? Maybe that'll take focus, it definitely helps me to remind myself I'll be thinner soon lolPleasant dreams and take care.
  10. Congrats on your loss.. And yes the first 2-3 days are the hardest, but oh so worth it when all said and done.
  11. My throat is a bit sore from surgery still. Is that why for you too?
  12. I hope your day has gone better. I am doing okay. I have a wicked sore throat and I am also struggling to get in the liquids. I get tired and queasy in the evening. I suppose this is our bodies healing and adjusting to the new piping. Hope you have a better night. Thanks for checking on me.. I hope you are feeling better too... I woke this morning at 145am with acid building in my throat, and it scared me I might throw up. But thank goodness I didn't. My insides feel so fragile with any movement, and God help me if I ever throw up. I gaged a little when I was trying to get my pain meds down and felt a horrible sensation of ripping, just ever so slightly, and freaked me out. I started praying for a miracle healing lol.. Today has been a lot easier moving from a laying down position to a standing position. I'm only able to get about 20oz of water and I have 2 shots of protein mixed in. The protein is 16oz per shot and quite tasty. It's called Liqacel. So I'm just moving along as my body allows. I hope you have a better night as well. It's good to know I'm not the only one experiencing this like this lol
  13. It was a rough night for me last night. Heart burn from hell and just plain uncomfortable. But after I took prescribed acid reflux meds and pain medication things settled down. I feel so fragile inside. I'm even scared to blow my nose, as it might rearrange my new insides.. I'm definitely struggling to get in my fluids, for fear of vomiting. But I just keep slowly sipping. I'm moving slowly and am able to get up easier. So the gas is slowly escaping. I hope the rest of you are doing better than I have been.
  14. I'm sorry to hear of your dumping syndrome I kept getting really bad hiccups yesterday. My stomach is so sore. I thought I was tougher than this. I just keep telling myself it'll all be worth it in the end.I am sorry to hear about the hiccups and I can imagine they are painful. Like you, I thought I was tougher than this and normally am not someone to complain about the pain. Anyway, it will get better with time and be worth it in the end. Keep up the positive attitude! It totally is gonna be worth it. I know it ???? and yes keep up the positive attitude ????
  15. Godspeed on a fast recovery ????????????
  16. Today I'm still in pain, I kept getting hiccups from hell last night, my tummy is very sore from them. From what I read, it's a sign I was sipping to fast. So I'm really going slow on the drinking. Man alive its gonna be impossible to get in ample fluids in at first. Thank goodness there's unflavored protein powder I add to my water. This will all be worth it I keep telling myself. Praying for ya ????????
  17. How did your surgery go? Prayers sent for speedy recovery ????????
  18. The pain isn't fun is it.. Day two for me and I'm still pretty sore ???? good luck on your journey, we will both one day be like, that was soooo worth it, when we put on our first pair of skinny whatever clothes ???????????? Oh you will need pain medication for this.. Trust me.

  21. Thank you, the losers bench part feels amazing, it's the gas pain is what sucks ???? I'll survive ???? I've got a pretty tall bed I've got to get in and out of, and I'm worrying I've done something to my insides. I had the hiccups from hell for about an hour and thank goodness they subsided. But it left my stomach crammpy feeling. I guess I'll take more pain meds.
  22. I hate that we are scaring you ???? it'll pass pain wise and I know it. It just sucks ever so gently lol it is amazing though how correct everyone has been on here, that walking is really a huge help.
  23. I'll have my multi to take tomorrow, so we'll see if that's the case for me to. My doc gave me a huge bottle of hydrocodone/ Loritab. It helps take edge off. Hopefully the gas in my stomach will disappear more ????
  24. Congrats on being on the losers bench now. Good to know that the gas pain subsides ???????? lol it's definitely coming out lol Good luck on your journey and I hope you heal quickly ???? I'm excited to hear how smoothly everything has gone from y'all. Yes, I'm from the South! Only 13 days to go!!! I can hardly wait! Please continue to keep us posted! Thanks ????❤️ I'm very fortunate that it's going so well. I'm so happy for you! I'm praying I'll have the same results! How was the pain? I have pain tolerance, but I don't know what to expect.High pain tolerance. Thank you for the prayers ???????????? the pain wasn't to crazy at all. It's just mainly gas in your tummy area pain that's all. Pain meds helped make me relax to the point I could sleep. But when it started to wear off I could sense it.
