  1. This is foreplay, isn't it?
  2. This is very timely for me. I kind of feel the same way right now, I'm 7 1/2 months out, although I'm not eating off plan. The scale is mocking me (I know, I know, get off the scale!), I want to put something in my mouth (get yer minds outta the gutter!), and I'm just feeling down overall. I'm still swimming in the cesspool of online dating, which I think makes it all worse! My daughter is turning 12 on Saturday, and I'm planning on putting on rollerskates for the first time in 10 years, and I'm hoping I don't break a hip. Oh yeah, and she wants a "space cake" - she wants to be an astronaut - so I have to bake and decorate a cake before Saturday. Oh, and to top it all off, on Saturday morning before her party, I have to have a bone graft on a tooth that I've been complaining about for years that I was always told there was nothing wrong with. The cost to me for this bone graft WITH dental insurance? $910. Nine. Hundred. And. Ten. Dollars. Someone just shoot me now.
  3. Yeah, I was thinking masturbated himself into a stupor. It was literally in the middle of a conversation. He was talking, I was talking, he was talking, I was talking, he was gone. LOL.
  4. How did he disappear in the middle of a conversation? Were you texting, emailing, or doing some sort of live chat? I am trying to figure out the best way to go about this. I normally give my land line if I have to talk to them on the phone. I hate giving out my cell phone number. We were on kik messenger. It shows when your messages are read. Suddenly they stopped being read. I called him to see if something was wrong and my call went straight to voicemail. I went back to the site we met on, and he deactivated his profile.
  5. I too, am swimming in the cesspool that is online dating. The worst I think was a guy that disappeared in the middle of a conversation. In the middle. Boom. I just tell myself I dodged a bullet.
  6. I'm not understanding the connection between not drinking and "losing your social life". Why can't you go out with your friends and have a good time without having alcohol in your glass?
  7. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I was able to walk down the aisle of the plane without turning sideways. WHAT???? I thought only flight attendants did that! On the flight home, the exit row seats were the same kind as on a bulkhead row - fixed armrests with the tray table in the armrest. I fit comfortably with no problem. And I was able to bend forward, with the seat belt on, to pick up something off the floor. OH MY GAWD! IT'S LIKE I'M A NORMAL PERSON!
  8. I think the fact that you feel you can't live without it is the exact reason why you should avoid it. I feel the same way about bread. Crusty, garlicky, cheesy bread. Last week in Vegas, at 7 months out, I had one small bite of bread at a French cafe. Meh. Now I can definitely live without it.
  9. Bow chicka wow wow. Ahem. What? ~~Deirdre
  10. So, had a good flight. Had a good date wednesday. Classes were good on thursday. Until... My voice started getting scratchy Thursday afternoon. Still, went on a date Thursday night. Woke up this morning with no voice whatsoever. (and the masses cheered) Now I have enough of it back, deep and throaty, that I could be a phone sex operator. Went to most of my classes, skipped the last one. Resting in my room now on the 13th floor overlooking the strip, before I go out on another date. Flight home is in the morning.
  11. And that, my friend, is why you have a secret Internet crush on me.
  12. On the plane no extender.
  13. @@jane13 My name is Deirdre. I have no idea what you are talking about or why you're calling me Sharon.

I'm getting on a plane in a couple of hours to go to Vegas for a work seminar. Some good things so far: Able to pack everything I need in one carryon bag, because my clothes don't take up as much space. Not worried about who I'll be sitting next to or if I'll make them uncomfortable. Some not-so-good things so far: Nobody to go with me. Some maybe good things: I've lined up a date for while I'm there. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Some not-so-good things: What happens in Vegas sometimes shows up on youtube! LOL!
  15. That's true, but we're talking about probiotics, not proton pump inhibitors.
  16. My hospital offered to let me drive home, since I hadn't taken pain meds that day. I was surprised, but declined as I had a driver.
  17. I'm 6 1/2 months out, and for the last two days, I've had excruciating cramps, not only in my calves, but in the front of my thighs. The first night of this, I was awake every 90 minutes or so, walking them out. I talked to my boss (a physician), and took a muscle relaxer (that I already had), potassium, and some extra Calcium. I already drink about 90 ounces of Fluid a day. Last night was better, I only woke up once, but my legs are very tight and achy today. I'm hoping this is a temporary situation.
  18. I'm six and a half months out and I can only eat one scrambled egg with a little cheese. I would be in a world of hurt if I ate two plus a banana. I think whoever wrote your meal plan has scrambled brains. Just sayin'.
  19. You can order Soup. I usually order a regular dinner that will reheat well, and eat a few bites. Something like steak or grilled chicken. Or I order an appetizer. If you start doing that now, and alternate with a regular meal at these dinners, then I think it would be less noticeable when you make the entire switch. If anybody says anything, you can always say you're trying to watch what you eat.
  20. Today I'm wearing jeans for the first time since about 1999. They are a pair of misses size 22 that I had in a box in my garage. A pulled them out of the garage around Christmas I think. At that time I couldn't pull them all the way up. Then a few weeks later, I could pull them all the way up but not button/zip them. Then I could button/zip, but not breathe at the same time. Today I'm wearing them to work (doctor is out in surgery so we have no patients, so it's casual), and they are comfortably buttoned/zipped. I don't care if they are out of date (they are very faded) and kind of look like mom jeans. I'M WEARING SIZE 22 JEANS!!!!
  21. You don't really need to tell them anything. Make an appointment with a new doctor, and if you like that doctor, you can fill out a records request in their office to have your records sent over. If you have any future appointments scheduled, call and cancel them. If they ask why or if you want to reschedule, you can just say, "I'll call back."
  22. This. There have been other instances here of similar happenings. File an appeal. Use a phrase like, "their rep enticed you to obtain discretionary surgery by misquoting the benefits, and you relied on that benefit quote to guide your decision to obtain surgery." Ask them to pay it as quoted.
