  1. Thanks so much, guys! I have season tickets for the Pittsburgh Penguins, so missing one game wouldn't be the end of world, but I was hoping to get to this one. I'm already planning to take it slow and not push to go. If I feel up to it, my mom will be driving and I may ask for a wheelchair to get to my seats. I can get up and move around or stand during the game if I get uncomfortable, too, so I'm taking that into consideration as well. I had emergency back surgery in April and was in the hospital for 38 days, so my pain tolerance is already high, lol. I appreciate all of the responses! <3
  2. My surgery is on Monday, December 15 and I have tickets to a hockey game on December 18. Is it feasible that if I don't have any complications, get out in time, and get lots of rest, I'll still be able to go to the game? I know everyone is different, but I'd like somewhat of an idea of what I can expect. Thanks!
  3. My bypass surgery is on Monday. I'm getting so excited!
  4. Had my pre-op appointment today and I'm so excited! 13 days...
  5. Did anyone detox from caffeine before surgery? I know we're not supposed to have caffeine after surgery, so I'm worried about withdrawal headaches.
  6. I'm having bypass on the 15th, same as you.
  7. My surgeon also does not require a pre-op diet, so I'm thankful for that. One less thing to be nervous about.
  8. I've been posting for 12 hours and already feel surrounded by love and support. I'm much less scared and way more excited now.
  9. You, too! I'd love to keep in touch with you and stay updated on your progress.
  10. Hi! You sound exactly like me! We even have the same surgery date. I'm so excited to have come across someone starting their journey the same time as me.
  11. Great job! So happy for you.
  12. I was posting last night as I fell asleep, so that's probably it. I'm from Pittsburgh, you?
  13. I see I replied in the wrong thread. I swear, I'm not drunk or computer illiterate. ????
  14. Just as I send that, I find it!
  15. I'm actually having bypass. My pre-op appointment is Tuesday, but they told me early on that I'd only need one day of liquid diet prior. P.S, How do I add my picture? I can't figure it out on the app.
  16. I am also December 15.
  17. Hi! I'm brand new to this whole thing, but my surgery date December 15. ????
