I am a real person that had it done and it is the best thing I have ever done. I was sleeping all the time with no energy and not caring about doing anything anymore before the surgery. I have only lost 24 lbs. so far but I cannot tell you how good I feel already. I am 8 weeks out. Rethink...are you happy now?

Please don't tell me I have to be fat with hair or bald and skinny. I read on the internet you lose hair if you do not eat enough protein. I am only out 7 weeks but I am making sure I eat lots of protein. So far, I have not had much restriction so it has been easy to eat protein.

Finding my port was not a problem. My port is fairly large I think. Not sure how large it is supposed to be but my incision is about an inch and a half. I go Tuesday for another fill. I hope I get more restriction this time but not too much either.

I was banded by Dr. Clay Wellborn in Little Rock, Arkansas. Thought maybe I would see another Arkansas patient.

PS. We ride motorcycles all the time. We have gone to Sturgis for 6 years, 3 for me.

I am pretty sure she said 4.9. The only thing I know for sure is that my doctor started using a new band in July. I was banded in Sept. I saw the old and new band and mine is much bigger than the former one. I can ceretainly eat more than I should. Have not lost any weight in two weeks and have gained 2 lbs. back. I got the 20th which is coming up and I will ask more questions this time. They always seem so impatient. The doctor has over 800 patients. They have told me that several times.

Hello to all you banders. I am happy to have found this site. I have read a little and already found lots of information. I was banded on Sept. 25th. Cancelled first appt. because I was afraid I wouldnt wake up after surgery. I have diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Now, I am glad I did. I am down 22 lbs. Had first fill and cannot tell it. She put in 4.9 cc's but I am not restricted enough. Trying to maintain before next fill next week. My doctor does not use fluro. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can help the doc give me the right fill? Does fluro work everytime? Thanks, Suesue<!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- / message -->

I just found this site too. I am so excited. I was banded Sept. 25. I am down 22 lbs. and have lots of questions too. I am trying to find my way around the site. I have posted a question but have not seen it come up yet so do not know where it went.

I was so afraid of dying on the table I cancelled. Now I regret that as I would be further ahead. It is the best thing I have ever done. Down 22 lbs. and that is a miracle for me. I love having the restriction. I still eat, I still enjoy food, but the band stops me from overeating and I was eating so much before this surgery. I also have so much more energy. It has been a miracle.
