  1. Understandable!! That's awesome, it's hard to wait but we all need to have it done at the right time.
  2. I'm the 16th. We started a fb group called baribuddies for folks on that week. Has a pic of a woman with her arms out in front of a sudden set.... Just ask to join if you would like!
  3. sooooo happy today! Found out finally my total amount to be taken from my 401K plus my care credit card will take care of my entire surgery. I was scared for awhile that the stock market would fluctuate before my 401K money was removed and I would be short. BUT! Found out it was removed from the account yesterday and is on it's way to my bank account. whew! onward!
  4. Hey Sarah! I was just going to text you! Hope you had a good day! I can change the group to "secret " meaning only members can see but it makes it so it can't be searched for....only members can send invites for others to join. I don't mind doing that....just let me know what everyone would prefer. We would basically just need to ask the fb name of anyone who wanted to join and then send them an invite.
  5. Oops sorry! It's a pic of a person standing in front of a sunset with their arms out.
  6. ok folks lets give this a try. I created a private group on Facebook called BariBuddies......you should be able to go to your search area and type that in and then ask to join the group. Someone give it a try and let me know?
  7. I also have on my list what Vitamins and minerals and in what form (pill, chewable, crystal) do I need....as well as what's her preferred Protein powder/drink
  8. those are excellent questions! I'm adding a couple of those to my list as well!
  9. my mom is also worried...its def a mom thing. She's not overweight so I've tried to explain to her the fight I have with my body and how much freedom this could give me so she's supportive. But still worried.
  10. Should we set up a Facebook page for all of us around this date so it's easier to stay in touch? Thoughts? I'll set it up if folks are interested.
  11. right before your bday looks like!
  12. I'd love a text/email buddy! Send me a message on here and we can trade info!
  13. I'm in topeka and going to Tallgrass!!
  14. I like my shakes like my women!! Lol!!! Love it!
  15. I don't have to do a full liquid diet. But, I'll be starting my diet Dec 6th. It's Protein drinks plus some other stuff thrown in like 3oz of fat free ham, turkey or chicken and yogurt or cottage cheese. Can have sugarfree pudding, Jello, popsicles, broth, dill pickles and plain celery, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, and radishes. Kind of nervous about the pre op diet, I haven't even done well on super prescriptive diets, but I keep telling myself that I can do this...and it's only for 10 days.
  16. Morning everyone! My name is Shannon and I live in Kansas. My surgery date for the sleeve is 12/16. I'm so happy to have come across such a great website with all of these resources! I'm wondering what everyone else is doing to prep for surgery? Did you buy a blender and food processor etc? What other things are you making sure are in place in your life before you have surgery? Also, what Protein powder is everyone using? I've seen so many suggestions it would be nice to get some real life suggestions too
  17. hey all! This is my first post! But I am scheduled for December 16th! I'm so excited to see some folks close to my date!
