are you having surgery.. u have to be willing to commit and have a totally different mind set.. I know I'm committed in my mind to do what is right and not fall off ..

I asked a similar question. my doctor suggested I do the RNY because my grazing throughout the day and my addiction to sugar and I had to really think it over and do the research .. I don't have diabetes or acid reflux and Im under the impression that I'm obese but not "thaaaaat " obese .i always thought this was a last resort form of surgery these days ( no shade) they had scheduled me a date for the bypass but I decided to change it to the sleeve because that is what I initially wanted and I do not want my organs rerouted so now I'm waiting for a new date for my sleeve .. this whole journey has shown me my patience has become much better through this lengthy process ..

I called my doc to change to sleeve.. that's what I have wanted

I had my heart set on the Sleeve.. but they already approved me for the Bypass.. I do not want to wait for a new approval for the Sleeve.. I know the greater benefits for RNY but I do not want my insides to be re-arranged. I also think the Bypass is drastic for me. I'm 5'0 and weight 212. I'm leaning towards doing the RNY but I'm still not sure..I just want to move on with my new beginning..

took me a year.. went through UnitedHealthcare 6 mon Nutr. sleep test blood work psych visit seminar x rays swallow test that's just what I remember ..BUT ALL WORTH hopefully u get approved

this journey is yet over .. but I will be having my surgery on April26th!!!

takes about 2-3 days they say. a week though hopefully u get approved!!!

I ordered a shirt that I really like in a smaller size.. soooo once I get down to that size.. I'LL BE WEARING THAT SHIRT !!!

this is true.. if the group denies.. then the ins co. should of looked it over as to why.. and they should tell u specifically need to be approved

u have to be on ur surgeons office hard cause they be slacking when it comes to certain thingsI emailed my benefits coordinator right after that call. I would like to think they AREN'T lying about when they submitted it...but I'm a bit suspicious. So now I've made it a point to let them know that I am monitoring this part of the process closely. I have my next appointment on the 24th and was hoping to have approval by then so we can schedule my surgery and get this show on the freakin road. I've been working on this since June of 2015....... ....so I'm ready to have an answer and get on with my NEW life already. u are hilarious!!???????????? I see why ur name is sassy????????????????

@@taweedeegirl my surgeon required a letter of support from my PCP. I spoke with insurance today and they said I will have an answer by next Thursday. I think I will be stalker girl tomorrow and call them tomorrow anyway lol lol lol I know that's right????????????
