  1. Horray!!! Wonderful NSVs!!!!
  2. I get real loopy on the drugs at the hospital...when I was drugged up right before having my son...I was struggling to push him out...been at it for awhile and was real tired. Finally my dr who was also tired said come on Keri you are going to have to work at it...I snapped back...why am I the one having to do all the work....that is what I am paying you for! She looked at me with surprise and then we both started laughing and my son was delivered just a few minutes later.
  3. You guys are hilarious!!! I am taking notes furiously here!
  4. Glad to hear you are home...get to feeling better soon!
  5. Congrats on the early b-day present!!!
  6. Best wishes Kabeerah on getting that band...I know how long the days can be while waiting for insurance or these doctors.
  7. Hey Randy...I have been to that Easyrider bike event in years past...omgosh what a hoot! Had a friend in a band that was playing out there one year. I really enjoyed going out there!
  8. You will be in bandland before you know it.
  9. Best wishes to her on her upcoming surgery!
  10. I take the Isopure Orange Cream with 12 ozs of the low carb milk with 1 tablespoon of fatfree/sugar free pudding powder...just drink on that all day...taste great and you get 60 grams of protein with the one drink. Just two ozs at a time and keep it in the icebox between uses. For my chocolate fix...I use 100% Whey from GNC fix with the low carb milk and natural creamy peanut butter with the chocolate sf/ff pudding...taste great! If you can't handle the Isopure..go to GNC and get a few Ready to Drink protein drinks in their drink case and try some of those to see what you can handle...you need that protein! oh and welcome to bandland! :-)
  11. In order to stop drinking and eating at the same time. Sit at the table and take small bites and really concentrate on chewing your food really well. I kept a glass of water on the table for myself..at the other end. If you do those few things you can break the habit...I thought that was going to be the hardest habit to break...it turned out to be the easiest.
  12. Lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to get a snowfall like that here. We are all but through with winter here...we will have about 3 weeks of Spring and it will be Summer until November. *sigh*
  13. Ged to feeling better soon Elizabeth and glad to hear you are sticking around!
  14. I thought that not drinking while I was eating was going to be one of the hardest things for me. I just made my mind up that I wasn't going to do it. I sit at my kitchen table with a tiny water glass far away from my plate and chewed each of my bites 25 to 35 times and come to find out I didn't really need to drink. I haven't drank and ate at the same times in 6 months. When I get to feeling like a need a drink while I am eating...that is a signal to me that I am not chewing well enough or taking to big of a bite. Good luck on breaking that habit, Machelle...I know you can do it!
  15. Any luck yet on getting it on down? Did you cut it in half?
  16. If I want something sweet...I have it...but just a little.
  17. I don't think you are getting enough calories in with the amount of working out you are doing.
  18. My gallbladdery surgery recovery was much harder than my lapband surgery. I ended up back in the hospital after my gb surgery with a staff infection...kept me out of work for 3 weeks. I was back to work after 3 days with my lapband surgery and never looked back.
  19. Here is the direct link to the sample page: http://www.obesityhelp.com/sendover.phtml?N=http://www.bariatriceating.com?D=100705
  20. You can go to this link and you can get sample packs out here, you have to search around for a bit...but this is where I ordered a sample pack of Nectar protien packs...the only one I would suggest would be the cappacino...everything else in the sample...ewww nasty. http://www.obesityhelp.com/sendover.phtml?N=http://www.bariatriceating.com?D=100705
