  1. Keep up the awesome work, you rabbit you! :-)
  2. Thanks Patti! Best wishes on your upcoming band surgery...you will be in band land in no time!
  3. I agree somewhat, but the band is still just a tool. You still have to make the right choices of what you are eating. I have had 3 fills and am about to have a 4th, but I have never stopped watching my calorie fat intake. I just need that structure to ensure I stay ontrack...if i just 'wing' it with my band...I tend to make bad food decisions...but that is just me.
  4. I agree with what Kimberlilly said, I am grateful as well. I chose features that matched my husband as close as I could. Not that it mattered...he was there for the delivery and were as close as a daddy and his spoiled princess of a daughter could be. But give yourself and your hubby a break, he just learned some devestating news about his body...give him some time to adjust to what he has learned...I bet he will come around in the end. *huggs*
  5. Welcome back Zoe!
  6. So sorry to hear of your bad news Rica and I know how hard it is on you emotionally of what your going through. It took 8 years and 5 inseminations from frozen sperm that I picked out of catalog from California Cryobank and 3 different doctors to finally get my oldest miracle. She is 8 now. As hard as it is, don't give up hope. No matter how you get your baby, it will happen...it will just take some time. PM if you need some support, advice or just to chat...I will be happy to talk to you.
  7. I know you were in good hands, Dr. Benavides is a good doctor. If you need some answers, call the surgery center, they are really helpful. Trust me it does get better...and you have a long 6 weeks ahead with liquids..trust me..it will be worth it in the end...been there!
  8. Happy Birthday Molly, Molly!!
  9. Welcome to LBT and Bandland!
  10. The first couple of days are always the roughest...take it slow and easy. What types of liquids did your dr say you could have. Make a protien shake and start taking small tiny sips until. I would alternate between that and water. What liquids are you taking in right now?
  11. Way to go Alex!!! Keep up that awesome work!
  12. So official weigh in first day of the challenge: 211, goal for the end of March, to be at 190. That will be such a wonderful goal for my birthday on March 30th. I will also have met several personal goals, to weigh less than my husband, as well as be in onederland. I also have an NSV for the week already and that is having exercised between 45 and 60 mins everyday this past week. 1/03: 211
  13. Hey congratulations!!!! I know that is an exciting victory!!! Nice paint job!!! :-)
  14. Pat, you can get them cheap at halfpriced books if you have one in your area. I picked up 3 tapes the other day for 10 bucks. You can find them cheaper online, but with shipping, sometimes it comes out more expensive.
  15. Laura, you have a certain amount of basal calories, that you burn up no matter what. On Fitday if you go to your reporting section and go to Where did I burn my calorie report, you have a certain amount that is automatically used based on the information that was provided when you gave your info to fitday. A general guideline so to speak. Like for me today, I burned a total of 3,075 calories, 1665 was my basal, 1034 was my lifestyle and 376 was for activities. Check yours out and I think you will feel a bit better about your day.
  16. I have done some type of exercise for the last 6 days for at least 45 to 60 mins each session...I just feel so good mentally about doing that. I have walked, bicycled and done video aerobics...Susan Powter really kicked my butt yesterday....loved it!
  17. Yea!! Did a Susan Powter Exercise tape today..she always kicks my butt. Still may do a 30 min. walk before the day is over. B - Eggbeaters, with 1 oz of diced ham and tomato. L - 6 crackers and 2 tablespoon of peanutbutter, 1 clemintine, 1 oz of lowfat mozarella cheese D - 1 small peice of ham, 1/2 c of blackeyed peas, 1/4 cabbage...had to get my good luck and money for the new year in. My calories are a tiny bit over 1200 for the day, but I have included 3/4 of a scoop of Protein powder, because my protein is not quite where it needs to be.
  18. I too have a VG band and have had 3 fills. I do have some restriction, but I still have to follow a strict diet. My sweet spot is not there yet. I have 5.5 in my band, but probably won't see about another fill until early Feb. I have had one a month since my surgery in Sept. I does take awhile until you hit the sweet spot with a VG, so you have to be careful inbetween fills with your diet.
  19. You can eat broccoli...it just has to be very well cooked. I buy the little frozen boxes of chopped broccoli and just steam it...turns out perfect everytime.
  20. I am in the DFW area.
  21. You might have to consider bumping those calories up to 1200. I was around the same and I stopped losing. I bumped mine up and am now seeing some movement.
