  1. I'm stressing. I got all the way down to 115, and felt like I was too skinny. My face looked sunk in and I looked "older" than I did when I was heavier! I had my gallbladder removed and have gone up to 126... I'm sort of freaking out right now... So I'm coming to you all and getting great info. I work out 3-5 days a week and think that grazing is probably my problem. They (the doctor) had me eating every couple of hours to maintain and now I feel like in in a bad habit after 3 months. They told me to add back in some carbs and I'm getting nervous and scared. I'm starting today back on the eating 3 times a day only... And only if I'm really hungry. I want to listen to my pouch. I truly am worried and would love any tips anyone has!

The effects of tableware size on weight loss

All you have to do is ask your surgeon for the card. Mine didn't give me one but was happy to help. My kids love (as a VERY RARE treat) Buffett style restaurants. I'm not a fan other than I can choose what goes on my plate. They still charge full price for a 1 cup meal! It's crazy! Do you find that you have to pay a split plate charge when you share a meal with your spouse? I get that all the time!
  3. To start out, would do my surgery over again in a heartbeat. I have had so many good days. Two weeks ago o started getting sick so I thought I was constipated even though i was going every day. I took fiber then exploded for 48 hours. It stopped and then then started again a couple of days later. Ever since I haven't been able to control it. Food doesn't seem to matter, or I would think I ate something to cause dumping syndrome. Whenever I eat, it ALL COMES OUT within 2 hours and it's all liquid. It has gotten so bad that even when I think everything is gone and I can go to bed... Nope I can't. I'm leaking at night and it's all liquid. It's horrible. I'm supposed to see the GI hopefully this week, but waiting on a call. I have to stop loosing according to my DR, but I can't keep anything in... Any advice would be awesome. I'm feeling frustrated and embarrassed.

    How to stop loosing?

Did it ever stop? Your weightloss? I'm curious because I was told the same thing this week and in stressing!
  6. I have never had this question or problem ever... I like where I am right now (minus the excess skin) So I keep expecting for my weight loss to stop. I am only 3 lbs from my goal my hair is super thin, I'm questioning if I need a wig, and wondering when it (my weight loss) will stop? Does anyone know? I have lost 120.8 lbs since October 15th, 2014. I am only 3 lbs from my goal of 135. How much smaller will I get? Also I'm afraid of getting rid of any clothes for fear I will gain it all back... Sigh... Any advice? Tips? all are welcome!

    Straws

I think they mean that at first... but then, some i think find that it is easier to quickly ingest calories through a straw. It takes more time to sip it out of a glass or Water bottle... etc. I do use a straw. I was told no at first. I think another reason is, if you are like I was... it was SO EASY to buy a Route 44 Sonic cup and drink it... out of habit. We are trying to retrain ourselves to NOT go back into our old habits. Just my two cents.

No energy 3 weeks post op

I felt lethargic for about 6 weeks. It was all I could do to get myself up to do my walks... it was so hard. I remember thinking up and down my street felt like MILES!!! the first week just around the tiny culdesac was terrible!! I felt winded and worn out and i took Water with me. I couldn't handle the Protein well at first I was on fluids (clear liquids) for almost the entire first month, because I was afraid of puking, and then i would only do a tablespoon at a time of things when I started soft Proteins and shakes... I felt like I was eating all day and felt stuffed and thought I was stretching out my pouch. i got to the point I could do much more within a few weeks and in January (after an October 15 surgery) I joined the gym. I can now walk/run 4-5 miles in an hour and i HATED running before. Now it is like hitting one of the finish lines for me... that i am being successful in my new life. It is coming to you too! <3 Just push fluids, protein when you can and don't beat yourself up.

    Question about dumping

Agreed try only one at a time try Beans then the cheese on them another time if you do fine. It's much easier to track what your tummy does and doesn't like! Good luck!

    Hair Loss

I don't know if you have had children or not, but think of it as loosing your hair "post baby" it thins so very much!!! And then again. Mine has even changed texture! I am 8.5 months post surgery and I have a ton of new growth. It is hard to style my hair right now. I lost more than I thought I would just make sure you have a great hairstylist to work with, and you will do great!

    Day #3 liquid diet. Ughhhhh.

It is so very hard. It will be hard post surgery too... ???? and then if you do like I did, your brain sort of triggers something and you think... "It looks good, it smells good, but it will make me sick... Then you no longer want it. I was the biggest chocolate lover ever... Now I can't stand it!! You are right it will be worth it and soon enough you will be seeing the results of surgery that will make all the sacrifices you are making worth it! (((Hugs)))

    hair replenishment

Be careful with acetyl l carnitine. It can be very dangerous for other organs!! I have a child with a metabolic disorder and we have to have lab work done regularly for him.

    compliments...

TXMissy I feel the same way! It's awkward to accept the compliments! I had a man check me out the other day, another complimented me to the pointing was uncomfortable, and someone else told me she didn't believe I had 5 kids. Some one accused me of taking someone else's drivers license... Sigh... Some of the things I didn't expect!

10 weeks out & in pain when ever I eat

I had "buyers remorse" for quite a while. It does get better. I found some of what triggered my pain was certain foods. I eliminated dairy for a while. I hope you find out what is going on so you don't regret it!

To be or not to be

I have PCOS, and had a hysterectomy at 29. My body never got the memo. I can tell you that post surgery (10/15/14) I finally am rid of facial hair and some of my symptoms that have persisted even 9 years after. If I had known it would help rid me of some of my PCOS SYMPTOMS, I may have waited to have my hysterectomy. I hope this helps. ????. 30 is also not too old to be a new mommy neither is 35! My youngest was born at 34 for me. Via adoption, and I felt more prepared for her. ❤️ good luck future mamas!

I'm doubting if I want the surgery...

I only met my surgeon twice before my surgery, but I felt comfortable on the first visit. If you are questioning, and the 6 months is a requirement by your insurance then you should be able to switch to another physician. Good luck!
