So on Monday, I meet with a Doctor to see if I qualify for Bariatric surgery, I'm so nervous, my BMI is between 38 and 39, besides high triglycerides, Pre hyper tension and pre diabetes, the only "major" comorbidity I have is PCOS, I've read a few of you ladies have been approved with Pcos alone, I just hope it's that easy for me too!
  4. Just wondering how all you ladies are doing post surgery??? Hope all is well. I have an appt on Monday with Bariatric to see if I qualify, from my first appt with the pcp I have a BMI of 39 and only comorbidity is pcos, pre hypertension, high triglycerides, I'm so nervous, I hope I qualify!! Would be great to hear from you ladies

  9. That's what I've been told, I'm starting this journey in January, just signed up for insurance, what insurance do you have? My BMI is 37.6 pcos, hypothyroid, and not too sure about blood pressure and cholesterol, I guess us newbies just obsess over all this lol, thank you very much for responding

  15. New here, insurance won't be effective until jan 1st, will be seeing a new PCP how do I bring up WLS to him or her on the first visit?

  17. Excellent advice, I find my husband becoming jealous also, and asking why I need to change, I feel this pretty common in relationships and we do need to remember why we chose to be together in the first place, I wish you all the best, and honestly just pray, the good Lord will guide you
