  1. Don't laugh! I have a crush on Lil Wayne!
  2. Good Luck Sweatpea! :w00t:I will say a prayer for you tonight! You will breeze through this surgery!
  3. I don't think it is worth waiting for. I typed up a sheet very neatly in excel with my weight history. I put in exact dates and weight (or what I thought I weighed at that time). I got approved in 2 weeks.
  4. Congrats Tammygirl! I find out my band date on Wednesday. Good Luck!
  5. Hey all! Sorry I've been away from this board for sometime. I am not banded yet. I will be having surgery at Emory Crawford Long. My Doc is Dr. S.Davis. I have finished all presurgical testing and now I am waiting for a surgery date!!!!! :huh2:I am so ready to do this!!! :w00t:I think I will call them right now!!!
  6. Hey Anne, I am currently following a pre-op diet. I will have to switch to all liquids 10 days before my surgery. :ohmy:At Emory they make you see a Baritrician before you can meet with the surgeon. Kinda so you don't waste his time. I saw Dr. Williams for 6 months (insurance requirement) prior to choosing my surgeon. :tongue_smilie:Emory is really formal and they follow the rules to a "T". Good luck on finding a surgeon in Calli! :thumbup:Hopefully soon we will be banded sistas!
  7. One more suggestion for surgery in Atlanta. I have a friend that is a surgeon and at his surgery center they do the lapband procedure. (I know you are wondering why I am not getting my band from him???):confused2::confused2: They don't take my insurance. This surgery center might be able to get you in faster than Emory. If you call: Tell them you are a friend of a friend of Dr. Cochran. They will take care of you. Good Luck! Surgery South, P.C.
  8. I am getting banded by Dr. Scott Davis. :thumbup:Emory has a great team of Doctors and are accreditated. I hope to be banded this month. My baritrician is Dr. Joanne Williams. She is great. Give them a call. We tailor
  9. Congrats!!! You are on your way to a new skinny life!:wub:
  10. Well EAS carb control is the best shake I've had. It isn't cheap though. Around $5 for 4 shakes.$$$$ :blink:Sometimes you can catch it onsale at Walmart. Good Luck!

  13. Bri Bri I am so feeling that list! Especially #25. So my pants won't wear out between my legs while the rest of them are still in good shape.:w00t: I also have to steal one from Angel: So I can try on boots and not look foolish when they dont zip up on the calf. Dang! I hate that! I won't even try on boots that don't have stretchy fabric!!! My Calfs are too Bigg!!!
  14. Congrats Southern Girl!!!:biggrin2::eek::w00t: Maybe both of us can be banded in August!!!
  15. Keep your head up Yettia! He is just being insecure. Let him know you are not going anywhere, and you will still love:wub: him the same when you are Fine :drool:as when you were Big:wink2:. I am praying that you have a safe surgery and a speedy recovery!

  20. I wanted to have my surgery by Dr. Lin. At the time he was giving all of his new patients to the new Dr. So I decided to have my surgery done by Dr. Davis. I heard the new lady is good, she was a resisdent of Dr. Lin's at one time. I just don't trust new people.
  21. My favorite comments are; 1. You are not that big! (Thanks I'm only a little big!) 2. You just need to exercise more! (Ok):confused2: 3. Guys like girls with curves, why do you want to get rid of those? (Can somebody introduce me to those guys????)
  22. It took exactly 10 days. Good luck!
  23. I am so happy! I just got off the phone with Aetna and I am approved!!! YES!!! This is the next step to a new life for me. I have struggled with my weight for the past 10 years and it is time for me to end that struggle. Thank You Jesus!:smile2:
  24. The "straw" for me was my 4th meeting at Weight Watchers and I hadn't lost a single pound. In fact I had put on 2 lbs! I left the meeting in tears :crying:after weighing in. I went to my desk and called the surgeon that same day. I have never been back to weight watchers. That was 7 months ago. I am currently waiting to for my insurance approval. I should be banded by the end of August!
