Did anyone get a sleep study done before surgery? If so who did you use and how much should I expect to pay?

Hey Georgia Girl! I just scheduled my psych eval, and have my 2nd visit with the nutrionist scheduled. I hope to be banded by the end of March.

Does any one know anything about Dr. Joanne Williams at Emory? I think she is new, I've had two meetings with her so far, but I am considering changing to Dr. Lin.

I have a good friend who is a surgeon. He does wound care and his colleagues do lap band surgeries and removals. I live in the Atlanta area and do not want to make the mistake of visiting this surgeon.

Now that I have made the decision to have the lap band surgery, my friends have been re-acting very negatively. :angry They never had a problem when I was failing at weight watchers, or jennie craig. Now they want to encourage me to continue to try to loose weight without surgery. Where was the support before? No one ever volunteered to loan me their treadmill b4 I announced I was going to have the surgery. Now suddenly everybody has an opinion about my weight, and how I should loose it. Has anyone experienced this? Why are my friends having a negative reaction to my news to have surgery?

Hey Y'all! I wanted to introduce myself. I am having my initial consultation this Tuesday. I hope to start my 3 month diet. Did anyone here get banded at Emory? If so, by which doctor?

I am not banded yet. I hope to be banded in early March. I was wondering if anyone has had a stomach virus or food poisioning since being banded? I have this weird fear that it would hurt really badly. Any information would be helpful.. Thanks!:help:
