  1. Venting here!!! So I'm a bit bummed out. I'm down 80 lbs, which I think is great! But today 2 people asked how I was doing and when I told them I'm down 80#'s one said, "wow you're losing it slowly" and the other said "that's it?! Slowly but surely you'll eventually lose it!" Wtf seriously?! Granted, I want to lose a total of 170 lbs, but I'm almost half way there after 4 months and a week! People can be such jerks!
  2. 263.4 slowly but surely!
  3. Happy 4 month surgiversary to all those sleeved on the 29th!!! Hope you are all doing well!!
  4. Yup!! I'm always cold now!!! I say it's because I'm losing insulation!! ????????????????
  5. 266.2 every month, around my monthly surgiversary, I hit a stall =/ hoping this one doesn't last too long...
  6. Yeah I think I should begin logging as well. =/ I still have another 96 lbs I want to lose. My weightloss is starting to slow down a bit, and I'm scared I won't reach my goal. I think my best bet would be logging again. My days are so hectic I sometimes forget to eat/ drink, then I get a bunch of water in right before bed, and I'll be up peeing all night =/
  7. @@jamdam can you hear one-derland screaming for you?!!!! I can't wait to be there!! Great job! 266.0 this morning! =)
  8. Memorial day challenge started last Monday @kpar909956. I don't think it's too late to join. You only missed 1 weigh in, today is the second weigh -in.
  9. Hey @@MamyBeth! Sleeved same day as you. Down 76 lbs, feeling great, full of energy, except I don't sleep much and my hair is falling out too =( I take 10,000mcg of biotin daily, and my recommended vitamins, haven't been drinking nearly enough water or taking in my recommended protein lately. Water makes me gag, as of late, so I've been putting lemon in it recently, and it's helped me get in around 40 oz a day.. not bad, but not great.
  10. @@CrazyJaney you look great!! Your before reminds me of my before (5'10", 342 before 3 day pre-op, 333 day of surgery). My goal is 170. How tall are you?
  11. I did. What I actually did was go back to just liquids and did that for 2 weeks, then full liquids for two weeks, and soft solids for 3 weeks, before advancing to solids afterwards. I actually had misunderstood the process. My Dr required 2 weeks on each stage before advancing to the next, and I moved on to full liquids before I was ready, and had to start over because my tummy just wasn't ready.
  12. I almost backed out the night before surgery. I'm glad I didn't. Almost 4 months out, and down 76 lbs, it's one if the best decisions I ever made. I take very small sips of water with my food, just enough to wet my tongue. I eat whatever I want, since the portion I can actually eat is so tiny. I have drank some soda, through a straw, and found that it made me very gassy(thankfully I was never one to drink soda often). 3 years ago, I had thought about getting the surgery, then decided to give dieting one last chance. I went from 368 to 211in 9 months...within a year and a half, I was back up to 342, size 22/24 pants, borderline diabetic, with high bp, hypothyroidism and high cholesterol. Now I'm almost 4 months out, down to 266, 14/16 pants, no high bp or cholesterol, and my sugar and thyroid are much better! I couldn't have done it without my sleeve!!!
  13. Sleeved 12/29, down 76 lbs, feeling energetic, my brain won't shut down when I need to sleep, I haven't been getting anywhere near my goal in protein or water the past two weeks, and my hair is falling out like crazy!! =/
  14. I didn't have a pre-op diet. My Dr said I could do it, for myself, if I wanted to, but he only required me to cut back my calorie intake a few days before surgery. He said most Dr's put you on a pre-op diet so that you don't go into dispare after surgery, being that you have to do liquids for 2 weeks. Some say they do it to shrink your liver before surgery, but the amount it shrinks in 2 weeks is not significant enough to make a difference. I put myself on a liquid diet for three days before surgery, it helped me get accustomed to the liquid phase. And I lost 9 lbs!
  15. Thanks @@DeezJeanz!! Good luck to you too!
  16. Goood morning! First official weigh-in, and it's my birthday!!!! 271.8!! Goal weight will be 250!
  17. @@Justoperated! How are you doing? I can eat maybe 2 tbsp of brown rice with some beans. ..tried bread and just didn't like it. I can't tolerate scrambled eggs anymore, but I can have hardboiled egg whites without a problem. Fruits and veggies I'm ok with. I used to hate seafood, but now it's all I crave and don't really like chicken too much anymore.
  18. @@queensleever05, how are you doing?
  19. Usually around 3 months out. I'm 3 1/2 months out and seeing some hair loss, nothing really major, but I can tell when I brush I'm losing more than usual.
  20. I am down 69 lbs since surgery on 12/29. I am also losing lots of hair! =( I take vitamins daily, along with 10,000 mcg of biotin, but it just doesn't stop falling out!! =(
  21. Count me in!! Thanks for taking over. I really enjoyed the last 2 challenges Susan hosted!
  22. You look awesome!! I'm nowhere near goal yet, but down 69 lbs since surgery a little over 3 months ago. I always hated seeing my passing reflection on the street. The other day I had to back up and look again because I couldn't believe it was me!!! It is definitely weird, but great, seeing myself shrink!
  23. Yeah, it's normal to feel sore after vomiting, especially within the first month. I would use ice packs to help sooth the pain. You have to remember. 80% of your stomach was removed. And you have tons of stitches in your nw tummy and @ your incision sites.
  24. 273.2! I met my goal, plus 1.8 lbs (or should I say minus!?!) Thank you for the challenge Susan!!!
  25. Your largest incision being the one by your belly button? If so, get it checked out, you may have a hernia.
