Sleeping/soiling Question
I also forgot to add that I've started taking Xanax again and that's really the only medication chance aside from the prescription anti-acid.

Sleeping/soiling Question
After surgery, has anyone had a problem with soiling them self while asleep? I'm embarrassed to even ask, but I've had this problem twice. Nothing major, but enough that I had to shower and change the sheets/clothes etc. I'm going to see my Doctor about it this week but wanted to ask if anyone has had issues with this. I was having a problem with waking up in the middle of the night choking on vomit. My doctor put me on a prescription antacid and that problem has gone away but just last night I awoke to a minor mess. I'm wondering if it is a side effect of the medication? I'm not taking any laxatives. The only thing I am doing is I usually eat broccoli twice a day. If I get hungry at night I usually cook a bag of broccoli. I am staying hydrated really well. Trying to keep plenty of Protein in the diet. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

I think I got more booty when I was fat
I was talking to my doctor the the other day and we both agreed that I got more booty when I was fat. Now I'm in a league of people who aren't throwing themselves at me. It's weird.

Has anyone become single as a result of their weight loss surgery?
Take the trash to the curb and bring sexy back and send him on his way. If you want to make him jealous, tell your getting it on with girls and then tell him he made you lesbian... oh don't do that, I'm just a spiteful person. I strongly urge you to see a counselor. It has helped us sooooooooooooo much. It is expensive but I just said I'm going to work more.

Guess who had a melt down today...
Meltdowns are good. We all need them.

Sleeved yesterday! How I feel 24 hours out... And when did you all get rid of the gas?
I remember after getting out of surgery I was dry heaving really bad but they gave me something for it and I was good. The one thing I remember most is wondering where my BM was lol. 5 days later, all clear. The gas will go away. Just be patient.

So here another noticing. I'm SUPER angry and irritated.

Anyone who did surgery in TJ willing to take a call?
TJ is amazing. What to expect? Are you flying in? They will likely pic you up from the air port, take you to the hotel, go over a few things with you, take you to the hospital, do some blood work, pic you up the next morning early for surgery, take you to the hospital, make you put on these annoying panty hose things, give you a shot to put you out, then you'll wake up with it done. That's how simple it is.

You look incredible!!! How do you feel?

it is finished... Had my surgery! What an ordeal
Feeling regret is very normal. Just remember you can't have it undone and you have to move forward. In six months, your going to be so happy you made this change.

Getting Cold Feet?
Recovery for me was only hard the first two days. In fact, the day I had the surgery, I was on my laptop typing on this very forum. I went home a day early and returned to work that Monday. I am six months post op now and I can only eat half of a McDonalds cheese burger. Sweets are my down fall, especially frozen reese cups...the little small ones... I have to work hard to stay away from the candy aisle at wally world. I encourage you to suck it up and move forward with the surgery. I have no regrets at all and I wish I would have done is 10 years ago. It is an amazing feeling to be healthy and be able to wear things I never imagined I'd be able to fit into my life time.

3 months out and pregnant
Congrats. Being pregnant after surgery is supposed to be better with the sleeve than without. I envy you. I want a huge family. At least 10 kids.

Drainage tube?!?
I'll see if I can find the picture for you that I took.

15 hours out post op!
The first couple days are the worst. Make the nurse give you the anti nausea and gas stuff. This will help. In a few days you will be up and going in no time

Worried it wont work
The Surgery will work. You have to do your part too. Don't worry, your stomach will keep you in line. In six months, no one will recognize the new you and I mean in a good way. A lot of people I have known for years now see me and don't recognize me, then the next thing I hear is OMG you've lost so much weight. It's a good feeling. I wish I would have done this ten years ago.

Does your new stomach feel normal?
I too am at six months out and I don't notice it there unless I'm trying to eat too much.

Twins are coming soon for us
I hate my laptop. I swear I've spilled on this thing so much and it makes so many errors lol. I forgot to make the most important point. If it weren't for this forum, I would never have discovered surgery in Mexico. The procedure we are doing we are also having done in Mexico as its sooooooooooooooo much cheaper. We were quoted $200k just to start here in the US. Around $35,000 in Mexico. Everything I've been quoted in the US I've been willing to do and spend the money on but then finding good reputable places in Mexico isn't hard.

Twins are coming soon for us
So every goal I set, I meat and beat it. We are doing the fertilization where one baby is mine and one baby is his. It's a lot of money to spend and we've been advised that we could end up with up to 8 to 10 going this route, but realistically 2 to 4. I'm excited. The Surgery is nothing compared to what you go through trying to have babies, The weight loss was the first step. I wish I had done it ten years ago. When they get here, I'm retiring for 20 years. LOL. (I doubt this but wishful thinking). At least with having the surgery, I know I'm going to be around for quite a while.

Who else has been through this and conquered it?
I had surgery in October 2014. I hit a stall until I started going to the gym. I was very shy about going to the gym. I got over it. I go to the gym at 5am every morning for 30 to 45 minutes a day. I over indulge in slider foods and mini reece cups are my biggest weakness... and if they go in the freezer omg its heaven. I'm still losing weight and haven't gained any yet. I met my goal and then beat it but I'm still losing and working on that six pack for summer vacation so I can make all my relatives jealous. lol. I gave up the Protein shakes but maybe I need to start back on them. I think you have conquered this already... only gaining 8 lbs... I'd say you have nothing to worry about.

Dating after the sleeve
Dating again is so much fun, especially at 30. Sucks that your hubby was a jerk. Don't take this the wrong way, but learn from it and don't fall for a jerk like that again. Was your hubby over weight or controlling? Relationships usually hit tough spots after weight loss surgery and its usually from the insecurity of the spouse. The on way I looked at it was.. if they loved me fat, they should really love me skinny. Wait til you hit six months post op. It's fun.

Only losing 1lbs a day
You will stall but don't give up. When you stall I suggest increasing the amount of food you eat. If you aren't going to a gym yet def go.
