  1. Does Dr Elias Ortiz sew sutures over the staples on the stomach area after cutting the portion off. To keep it from future leakage?
  2. Thank you for your feed back everyone. I really appreciate you all. I love this site!
  3. @@TheNewSusie Hi was taking vitamins and protein easy for you? Were you able to keep your hair from falling? I'm so scared about all of my hair falling out. I won't look pretty bald. For real!
  4. Thank you @samw. I am checking out the website now and will request more information on the gastric sleeve surgery. Great price.
  5. Hello everyone my questions are...... Who was your gastric sleeve surgeon and how much stomach did he removed? I ask because i fear having too much of my stomach removed and won't be able to hold down enough food or fluids including Protein to keep my weight leveled and me from losing alot of hair. Is it hard to keep your weight at a curtain level once you are at your idea weight? Do you have to take multi Vitamins daily and how often. Thank you everyone
  6. Ingrid007 I've heard nothing but great things about Dr Elias Ortiz too. I'm still in the researching stages though. I plan on getting the gastric sleeve surgery in February 2015.
  7. I believe they could have saved that doctor who went to that hospital in Dallas sick. I believe they could have done more to help him fight it. He was a doctor. The others who were exposed are doing well. There is no reason for them to let him die. Let alone have many others exposed to the disease. They sent him home the first time he went there. They let him die the second time he went back. Its just my opinion. NO SHADE!
  8. You all have a valid point. The news has been making it sound worser then it really is. But I must admit it does scare me a little. Mainly because I work in the medical field everyday and come in contact with alot of people on a daily basis but I love working in the medical field. I love helping other's. @@docbree you are very bold to still go forward with getting it done there after all those people were exposed. Be very careful.
  9. 6fT 2inches tall weight is 260 pound's. Was 270 pound's but I lost 10 pounds in two weeks by watching how much I eat by fixing my food in a small small bowl enough for only two scoops of rice. To be continued. .... Post SURGERY :)
  10. Is anyone hesitant about flying due to the Ebola outbreak going on right now? I know there are some scheduled to travel to Dallas Texas for their surgery. Please use precautions and be safe everyone
  11. Wow! You look great! I can't wait until my time to show off some slimmer pictures of myself
  12. I'm 6ft 2in tall and currently weight 260 pounds so he says I can loss it all by myself and I know that but it's difficult to keep it off. It goes up and down and back up again. Like a yoyo.
  13. @@amigues yes I am sure Dr Borland is a great surgeon. I'm not going to judge his expertise in the gastric sleeve surgery over one (Rushed) phone call with his receptionist. I love the fact that you only stay three days in a hotel then go home. He is only 1:15 minutes away from my town. Only thing is I won't have anyone trusting enough to stay with me at th he hotel because my husband is not agreeing with my decision to have the gastric sleeve surgery done at all. But I'm still gonna get it done.
  14. Yes I have read great reviews about the two Doctors you've named too. Its so difficult for me to choose. There are so many great doctors.
  15. @Angel7200 yes I've read about them too. All positive reviews excellent doctors and facilities
  16. @@OCSlim how much are they charging for the gastric sleeve surgery done with the SIL? They are great doctors too from all that I've read about them.
  17. And yes they still email-call and text me from different numbers trying to get me to pay the $250 dollar non refundable deposit fee too.
  18. @@Rocky1 I know. I was going to go with Dr Almanza until I did alot of research and found so much bad reviews. So many severe complications from alot of people. NO! NOT THE DR FOR ME! people still chose to go to him even with all those very bad reviews. I love my life and I refuse to put it in his hands!
  19. @@SarahSmile did Dr Almanza sew over the staples to help prevent leakage? Alot of people from Louisiana has went to him to get their surgery done.
  20. @@ShawnS16 yes exactly! I can't found any reason not to choose Dr Alvarez. The more I read about him the more excited I get. Tijuana is just a little to far for me. I am in Louisiana and Dr Alvarez is much closer than the other doctors. His fee is a little higher but I believe it is worth every penny. It's cheaper for me to travel to San Antonio Tx then to San Diego California. By the time I pay for everything I would be better off going to Dr Alvarez anyway. I'm sold! :)
  21. Thank you! God bless you @@proudgranny :)
  22. Never mind my last question you've already answered it earlier on in this post. Sounds great! $6800 plus you stay in the hospital the whole time which is only three nights then you go home. Thats nice because I'll have to get back to work.
