Suzamundo thank you. I'm thinking about getting it done with Dr Rodriguez in Cidad Juarez Mexico because it is closer and I also need dental work done at RIO Grande dental out there. Did he put sutures/sew over the staples. Did you just stay in the hospital for three to four days? That sounds great. That hospital looks great also.

If you had surgery in Mexico I would like to know what doctor did you use and how much did it cost? Also if your surgery put sutures over the staples to make sure it doesn't leak? Would you rate your overall exsperiance 0 being very bad to 10 being very good. I ask because today is the day that I make my choice and pay my deposit. Thank you all This site is great! My husband is very jealous and thinks I'm going to leave him for another man once I lose the weight. Why he so insecure? I don't even know! Makes me feel like he would rather me stay looking bad so no one else would want me. Crazy ! Let me live and be happy with myself. I'm doing this for me. Not no one else.

Thank you but I did call that office and tried speaking with a lady about some payment plan and she quickly said... it has to be paid in full within ten days of the surgery and rushed me off the phone. I would have loved to get the gastric sleeve surgery there but im self pay and don't have $9800 up front. I was trying to get the lady to listen to what I had to say by me paying $1000 per month until March 2015 and I would have the rest up front. I'm still searching

I will not miss these love handles. I will not miss shopping for unattractive plus size cloths. I will not miss granny panties. Although they are comfortable. aslo stretch pants.... lol

Is Dr Elias Ortiz in Tijuana Mexico or Cidad Juarez Mexico? I ask because Cidad Juarez Mexico is closer to my home. Also does he do the sew over the staples to help prevent leakage? If he doesn't then I would choose him.

I two spoke with Susan and did the history and health check. I will go through the gastric sleeve surgery with Dr Alvarez in Piedras Negras Mexico in Feburary of 2015. It will cost me $8500 plus passport and round trip to and from San Antonio Tx. I have to deposit $1000 dollars first though. I'm working on that now. Then I'll send $1000 per month until February 2015 and go with the rest leftover to pay.

Yes Dr Alvarez in Piedras Negras, Mexico did it on a twelve year old girl but his fee is higher then others in mexico. I've only read good things about him. Nothing at all negative. My 12 year old son is over weight also. If he decides he wants to do the surgery I would take him get it because kids can be very cruel and mean. He has no friends. He tells me no one likes him and calls him fat. It hurts my heart

Are there any Louisiana sleever's planning on going to Mexico to have their surgery done within the next five to six months? I ask because I don't want to travel alone. Thanks

I almost scheduled to go with Dr Almanza but after reading so much bad reviews about them, I have decided to go with someone else instead.

Thank you all for your reply. I never thought any of these doctors mentioned do the sutures. I've read that Dr Louisiana V also does the sutures. Is this true?

I called Dr Borland office and a lady at the front desk answered. She was kind of rude. I felt rushed off of the phone. She wasn't at all interested in my questions when I was trying to find out about the payment process when all I wanted to know is if he does payment plans until it is paid in full. Like within six months before scheduling for the gastric sleeve surgery. I'm sure he is a great Doctor but that receptionist was very impolite. Every time I try to email him. He replies back. Contact the office for more information with the phone number. So I've moved on and im still looking. I'm leaning towards Dr Alvarez in Piedras Negras Mexico or Dr Gabriel Rosales.

Have any of you went to or are going to have gastric sleeve surgery done with Dr Gabriel Rosales in Mexico? I ask because i have been doing research on him and its hard to find anything negative and a very few positives that are all linked to his Obesity Free website. Thank you all
