  3. Tomorrow I start my preop diet and I'm literally freaking out. I like food. And when I'm hungry I get aggressive. I don't know how I'm going to manage. My NUT told me that I can eat any vegetables in addition to the shakes. But the whole idea of only that is freaking me out. I just hope I don't cheat. Any tricks or suggestions that worked for anyone?
  4. 4 day liquid diet???? Your lucky. I have to do that for 2 weeks. I start Tuesday.
  5. Hey does anyone know how long you stay in the hospital. Would I be able to go home same day if my surgery is in the morning?
  6. @@Kamp86 you look like 2 different people. You look like a little sister on the right! Way to go!!!
  7. I understand your feeling of being selfish. Let me say this my biggest fear is having this surgery and changing. But then I thought about it and I deserve every opportunity to expand my life span. I have 3 kids to think about and one is a toddler. I want to be there for them. I have become the mom that delegates work to the kids as I sit on the couch because I'm too tired and fat to help clean up. I don't want to be that person. I want to be able to get the rides with them at the amusement park. I want to be able to keep up with my 19 month old son. So you deserve this just as much as everyone in here do. You're not being selfish by doing the surgery. You will be cheating yourself out on happiness and being a great mom to your kids. So do it for them. Most importantly do it for you. Life is to short not to take advantage of any good opportunity. (Sorry long response)
  8. @@angierue and good job on the weight loss so far. The pre op diet is going to be alot on me but I'm going to put all my efforts into it
  9. @@angierue I told my doctor 180. He asked me how much weight I wanted to lose and I told him as much as I can to fix comfortably in the roller coaster rides at the theme parks. Lol together we came up with that number which will be 150 lbs smaller than what I am now

  13. My date is set for Nov 5th. Start my pre op diet on 10/22.. I been replacing breakfast with a protein shake to have an idea what to expect. The thought of going cold turkey off food and just fluids has me going crazy
