  1. Good luck everyone ! I will see you guys on the "skinny" side.....
  2. Today my coworkers brought me flowers to celebrate my new " birthday" they said that 12/15 is the beginning of a new life.... I thought that was so sweet, so I would like to wish everyone an early happy birthday!
  3. My surgery is the 15th....we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength! I am nervous too, but totally excited!
  4. Hi All I met with my surgeon today and he said that I need to start my pre-op diet. But all he said was all liquids. So i asked does that mean protein shakes or clear liquids? He said I can do protein for 2 days then clear liquids for the other 3. I was so flustered by everything else I forgot to ask him what is a clear diet? I know water, and broth, but what about jello? What color can I have? I really like the cherry flavor..lol I am like a little kid. I have my pre-op testing and final class on Thursday, I guess I can ask then. Any suggestions will be great! You guys are doing really great! This will be great!
  5. Hey 12/15ers....one week.. I can't believe it, I am so nervous/excited! I am really on a roller coaster ....I want to thank all of you that have posted, it makes me realize that I am not alone, and that my feelings are justified! My family doesn't quite understand my ups and downs, so I keep them to myself. Have a great week!
  6. Thank you for your kind words. My emotions are all over the place! I am really excited...just wish that it was over so I can begin my new healthy journey. There are so many things I want to do....but I always feel this way in the beginning of a diet...then a couple of months in, I fail. I am excited to think that this time is going to get different!
  7. Thank you for posting....I am nervous about my " after" story also. I am afraid that I won't know who the new me is....but after reading the responses to you, I feel better! New life here I come!
  8. Hi everyone I have been reading some of the posts for a while, but this is my first time writing. I just got my date...12/15.... Now I am completely nervous...lol. Excited, anxious, scared, elated, hopeful.....just to name a few. I can't believe I am doing this....I am a mom of 3, my 2 boys are 4 1/2 and almost 3. They are both autistic, I also have a 16 year old step daughter who lives full time with me....I never do anything for myself, this will be the first time I am taking care of me. It's funny, I have been so confident about having this surgery, but now that I officially have a date I am starting to worry... Will I still be me after the surgery? It might sound dumb, but I don't know how to be a healthy person. I am not talking about eating healthy, I mean I don't know how to act, I usually like to be invisible, (most overweight people do) am I going to be that way after the weight comes off? Sorry for the strange post, I think I just needed to share my thoughts.
