  1. I am 5 months post op and am experiencing terrible pain in my lower right abdomen. I have been tested for kidney stones, gall stones, and appendicitis. So far, labs show nothing remarkable, except for me being dehydrated. I went to the er on Tuesday, the pain was so intense, and today it is back. It isn't in my pouch, it is on my right side. I don't know what to do at this point, since they can't find anything wrong. Any one else experience anything like this?
  2. I have been stalled at 225 for three weeks. I am getting incredibly depressed. But I just have to keep remembering I wouldn't even be this far down without a lot of hard work and a lot more to go. It will pick up again! Good Luck!
  3. I am having a bit of trouble dealing with my weight loss. I look at my naked body and it freaks me out. It's been 5.5 months since surgery and I have lost 130 lbs since April, when I started this thing. I fit into clothes smaller than my step daughter. My body doesn't seem to be mine anymore, and I really can't stand it. I need to find someway to get over it.

  5. I am 5"9 and started out at 355. I am down to 225, and according to my doctor I need to be down to 160. I think I'd be too thin at 160. I can fit into 12's,where as I started out in 26s. I never thought I would even get to this point, so I am very happy about that.
  6. I have been trying to focus on the positive, but I truly only like my protein drinks. Food is such an annoyance. I hope it does get better. I know I have to be patient but that is not my strong suit!
  7. Welcome and congrats on a great start so far! Good luck as you continue on your journey!
  8. I remember being cold in the surgery room too. I barely remember waking up though. I had trouble breathing and kept trying to get rid of the oxygen. I only really remember waking up the next morning. As far as pre op diet, it was all Protein shakes, and then Clear liquids the day before.
  9. I am never hungry. I do not have cravings. Eating bothers me greatly. I had RNY on 6/19/14, and have not wanted food since. This may sound like a blessing, but it makes getting my protein requirements near impossible. I have tried so many different things and nothing appeals to me. I truly have to force myself to eat. Any one experience this?
  10. ny 6/19 and lately all my muscles are sore. it makes physical activity very difficult. i had a stricture a few weeks ago and couldn't eat, so i have been protein deficient for a while and I think that has been part of my problem.
