  1. Today I started my first day of my 3 day pre-op diet. Things went pretty well. I drank a peanut butter chocolate protein shake for breakfast, vanilla protein shale for lunch. I had some chicken broth and sugar free popsicle for snack. I had a headache for about 4 to 5 hrs. I took some Tylenol for it. Then for dinner I had 2ozs of tuna. I had a pretty good first day and wasnt that hungry. I just hope that Iwil eventually be able to make my protein goal. I had a hard time drinking those two shakes. I just wanted to give up. I would have rather not had anything. They just seemed to thick. I mixed it with 8ozs of fat free milk. Day of surgery will be here before i know.

  13. I told my boss that I had to get a surgery. She didn't ask Any questions but told me to talk to HR for FMLA and STD
  14. Anyone with the same surgery date?
  15. I informed my family oof what I was going to do and no one approves. They say that I'm not that big or can just eat less and work out. They try to talk me out of it. My children, husband, mother, and sisters do not approve. That is just my family but others family's are very supportive. I wish I didn't tell anyone because this is a hard decision. They ask what if I don't wake up or have too many complications. I have not discussed this with my boss yet but I am planning to tell her that I have to get a women's surgery. My surgery is scheduled for Feb 20th. I am scared and nervous because of all the negative that I hear.
  16. I have questioned some of the reviews that I have read myself. I am goimg with him for other financial reasons. He was not my first or 2nd choice but I feel he is qualified to do the job. I know that if they ask me to get my surgery the day before, I will opt out and wait until the next morning. I have researched him and feel that I will be ok. I didn't get to pick the surgeon who gave me my surgeries in the US and I didn't question their knowledge or experience. He has done about 10,000 surgeries. Yes there has been some complications but a very small percentage for the number of surgeries that he has performed.
  17. I didn't save any money by choosing him. Quinones was cheaper
  18. Ok, well I pray that all goes well. I already paid and have everything squared away. I have my fingers crossed. It is a little too late at this point.
  19. Everyone that has been sleeved by Dr Almanza please read my posting " New surgery date Feb 20th." Let me know what you think about what has been said about him. Thank you!!
