  6. Thanks guys for all the input..mi have been trying to up my protein so that I can still work out. I enjoy working out now. It is a stress reliever and I dont want to ever stop. I do 45 mins to an hour of cardio in elliptical, bike, or treadmill. Zumba twice week a week and I started with the weights at 6 weeks. I choose the right things when I eat. I just need to eat more and I have been working at it. I didnt know if I was going to continue losing weight or just tone at the weight I am meaning have less body fat but still weigh the same. I like how my body is transforming. I am not pushing anything. When I am tired I dont work out and I quit when I am tired.
  7. No I don't meet my protein or water goals yet
  8. Ok thanks guys... I will try some of the suggestions. I do one shake a day....I am tried of them though but I know I need more protein and calories
  9. I am just now getting to maybe 500. I was doing 300 but I have to eat and drink all day to make it to 500. They recommend that I work at 5 times a week. I need to get in shape. So should I eat foods that are higher calories? I try to stay away from trigger foods. I had a problem before with sweets and chips. I just started eating a few carbs last week. I eat a hard shell taco and i had some poppcorn. But other than that I been sticking with protein and that doesn't give me enough calories.
  10. I probably eat about 400 to 500 calories a day..I know its not enough. I have been trying to up them This has been my first stall.
  11. I am 10 weeks out and been working out a month now and during the last two weeks have really been hitting the gym hard. NOW I AM IN A STALL!!! I Burn about 700-1000 calories a day. I don't understand. I do about 4 miles on elliptical or bike and lift weights. Is it that i am gaining muscle? And if so will I stay at the weight I am now? I am tone but have only lost 35 pounds and that was at 7 weeks out. Now i am just stuck. I don't want to be tone at this weight. I weigh 172 and think i should get down to at least 140 to 145. Any suggestions?
  12. I use a straw and am 5 weeks out. I started about 2 weeks post op. For some reason I can get more fluids down with a straw than without
  13. @@DisforDavid That is a hard question to answer since I struggle to get in 200 calories a day. You would discuss that with your nutritionist but you probably are having a problem with acid. That can make you feel hungry sometimes. I have Acid reflux and sometimes my stomach feels like its growling and it really the acid. I take my protonix and then I am fine. Everyone is different and you seem to be still losing. I am not losing as I should due to not getting enough nutrients. It just feels wrong to me eating when I am not hungry. I dont want start with that bad habit of eating for no reason. @@DisforDavid
  14. Oh my goodness! !! I am sorry to hear that. I hope things get better for you and quickly. Your weight loss is awesome. I am down 20lbs. They said I am not getting enough food or fluids in. I am just now able to do 20ozs a day and that is drinking all day.
  15. @@WendieBryant I hope that you are doing ok. I am finding things that work for me. I just can't get much down and couldn't do the protein shakes until now.
  16. I was not able to drink the protein shakes. I restarted yesterday and can only drink a little bit of it. I drank the apple juice because they told me since I am only getting in 100 to 200 calories a day that it will not hurt me at this point and I was dehydrated. I drank that over a period of 3 hrs. I passed out and have to get some type of fluid and food in. I am able to eat soft meats which the shrimp was very soft and I handled that. I eat meat other days and tolerate it. I just eat o little and am full for the rest of the day. When I eat one thing for breakfast I am not hungry and can not eat anything else. I did not have hernia repair.
  17. I was just windering if you should force yourself to eat if you are not hungry. Today I had some sauté shrimp, 4 oz of a protein shake, 6 oz of apple juice, 4 ozs water, 4 oz tea. I know that I should have more so I a had few spoons of greek yogurt and I feel like a fat pig and need to puke. Should I force to myself to eat even if I am not hungry?
  18. I am 3 weeks out and drink from a straw. For some reason I get more fluids down that way
  19. Has my surgery 2/19. I am down 22 pounds. I am on "puree." I had a 4 days stall as well.
  20. I am a week and half post op and have lost 18 pounds since surgery. I think everyone is different. I still wear my same size 18s too lol I think we stretched out the 18s amd made them 20s or 22s lol
  21. I am unsure as to how much I should be getting in at this point. Yesterday I had a pudding, half a jello, and probably 16ozs of fluid. I know I should have 64ozs but that is impossible. I am not hungry and I have a knot in my throat feeling when I have to stop eating or sipping. I drink as much as I can. I tried a protein shake on day 7 and couldn't drink it. I will wait until 2 weeks post op to try again.
  22. I am 1 week post op and I have been having back pain. I had no other pain related to the surgery.
  23. I was sleeved on Feb 19th down 16 pounds. I was able to during 16ozs of fluid yesterday. I can't do the protein shakes yet.
  24. You are doing way better than me. I am 1 week out and finally got to 16ozs in one day. No protein shakes for me yet.
