  1. Does anyone know if Citracal is ok to take for calcium citrate? I know my nutritionist was really specific and suggest I order from bariatric advantage if I couldn't find calcium citrate. I attached pictures of the label. Thanks for your help!

  5. I reallllly hope this is not the case. I have colorado medicaid, I don't know if this varies state to state? The last I heard here was a BMI of 35+ with a co morbidity or 40+ without a co morbidity. My Bmi is about 41 without any co morbidity but that's why I want surgery before I get any!!
  6. You should join the December board!

  9. I have been trying to drink all day long, it is hard for me because I am one of those people who waits till they are thirsty then drink a whole bottle of water. I have also been trying to eat every few hours. Healthy breakfast, protein snack, small lunch, snack (try to make it protein) then healthy dinner. Also been drinking some protein shakes. Good jobs cutting out sugar and fat. I have a sweet tooth but I have been trying! I pray I get dumping!
  10. Rex Ryan, he is the Jet's head coach.
  11. sorry I was talking to @newixan because I know she posted in the 5'0" topic.
  12. Do you need to see him to schedule a surgery date? Or were you just to call back or what? I was hoping to have my sugary sooner also. I am having surgery December 9th but I was hoping for middle of November. Oh well…. I do hope you get it when you need it because of work though! Just try to be nice and ask if they have anything at all, explain your work situation and see what they say.
  13. I decided I wanted to be in the range for "normal BMI" that helped me set my personal goal weight. My Dr. says my goal weight is 140, my goal weight for myself is 127 (my BMI will finally be in the normal range) and my psychologist says my goal weight should be like 115 for my height! Ahh that seems little, maybe I can get down to that, then I have heard about regain and then settle around 125. I'm only 5'0.
  14. If any of you would like to join a new Facebook group I made search for my name, Mia Ashton LeCompte, send me a friend request and I will get you in there, it is great support and 100% private. No one except the people in the group can see anything. People on your friends list can not even see you are in the group.
  15. Yay, glad things are going well! You went with RNY?!? I'm going to add you as a friend since we are about the same height and weight, I will be having surgery in 44 days!
  16. Hi you didn't say how much you weigh now, just that you hoover around 200 but it has been creeping up in the last few years. Well I will tell you if you are serious about wanting weight loss surgery I have known people when they have their height measured do not stand up completely straight. Also try to go to your appointment in the afternoon, after eating Breakfast, lunch and drink a lot. Lastly if your weight is way under the bmi of 40 I have heard a couple people say they have gained wieght like 5 lbs or worn some ankle weights. I didn't have to do anything. Although I was scared because my bmi was kind of low, I am really 5'0 but was able to be 4'11" for the measurement went meant I only had to weigh 200 instead of 205. Best of luck to you.
  17. Hi I am 5'0" 208 lbs and currently trying to lose a few more lbs before my surgery which is December 9th! I also had a very hard time choosing between sleeve and bypass. About 2 years ago I was scheduled for the sleeve surgery and my surgery got cancelled a few weeks before. Since then I have decided I truly want the bypass surgery. I have some acid reflux and hear it can be terrible after having the sleeve, where bypass can clear it up. I know weight loss is similar, but hell I can admit it, i want to lose as much as possible, I already have to get down to 127 to have a healthy bmi, I haven't weighed that since high school. My dr. Goal weight for me with the sleeve was 150, with the bypass it is 140. My own goal is 127 because I just want to have a healthy BMI, that is the highest weight I can have and actually have a healthy bmi, I figure I have more of a chance of getting to that goal with bypass surgery. Also it is still the gold standard. Although is is not looking like this is going to happen, the sleeve could be unsuccessful after 15+ years, we already have long term results for the bypass. If you want let's talk more.
