  5. Excellent idea.. Perfect! I'm making them as I type this! Lol.. Thanks kindle! Shelly
  6. Please tell me which ones you're buying. I saw some from Popsicle brand but they had 9 g of sugar still? Could you please tell me what brand you're buying? I'm also getting RNY so maybe these were ok for sleeves? I'd love to be able to have a cold treat after tomorrow! 13.5 hours until my surgery! I also might try sugar free chocolate instant pudding? Only like 3 g of sugar. Thoughts?
  7. Of course that helps and I know that I'm making the right decision. I can't wait to have a second chance at living the healthy life I've always framed of. I'm getting it right this time. I hope that I don't stay too long in the hospital.. I'd rather be home away from the germs. I got a call that I need to be the at 9:45 tomorrow am all hydrated and easy to rock. Wish me luck! Shelly
  8. I have him too! Hes supposed to be great! 1 more sleep! Do you regret doing it Ruth? I've only ever heard a couple people say they did but just a question? Cold feet questions I guess. Lol Shelly
  9. That's incredible. I know that smoking is just not an option for me afterwards. I'm in this for the long haul and to improve ALL aspects of my health.. I Need to find some cool new coping mechanisms, eating is out, turning to the bottle is a far away dream and not really something I even want to dabble back into and smoking is ridiculous.. So sex and knitting it'll be. Lol
  10. That's a great idea re: medicine dropper.. Interesting thought.
  11. That makes complete sense. Did you sleeve or bypass? I think that makes a big difference too. I'm RNY. I didn't mean to question your NUTS instructions, I hope it wasn't taken like that. It's just so different from mine in Canada. Maybe they push the protein here in Canada because its so effin' cold! Lol keep going lady, you're doing great!
  12. Good luck to you both. I'm right behind you! Tomorrow is my rebirthday or surgery day and I hope to be as spry as you lashante. Thinking of you all.. Keep us posted mic. Shelly
  13. Not having the protein shakes in the first few weeks? How did you get any protein in the first week? Clear liquid? Your nut might be a NUT lol. As long as your not losing muscle as opposed to fat. They must know what they're doing but ill say it again; it's so wild how each surgeons office is often soooo different. Crazy. Good luck though.. You seem to have the right mind set and following the guidelines! I can't wait, your inspiring me cause I'm 1 sleep away from my surgery. I haven't slept at all tonight. I'm sure I'll be narcoleptic soon.. Shelly
  14. Bahahaha! Gassy highlights, very funny yet practical advice. We're you at the civic?
  15. I checked everywhere on the app too but not successful by any means. I'll log into the website tomorrow and see what that's about. For what it's worth, I've added you as a friend in my head.. Lol. I went to upload a pic but they want access to my entire photo roll and access to my camera.. Scary, can't justify some of those photos, must... Hide.. Evidence.. Lol
  16. I don't even know how it was physically possible to eat pizza so early. That's flirting with danger!
  17. That's amazing lashante!! You go lady! I heard walking is the best for nearly every aspect of pain post surgery. Keep us posted! Warmly, Shelly
  18. Ok, this is coming together now! Thanks so much for the help, do much kindness on this site! Love love love it! Take care and my thoughts are with you too Shelly
  19. Thanks, I get it now. 2 other questions. How do I upload a profile pic and how do I add friends? Or am I just confusing this with Facebook? Lol
  20. How'd you get through these things and how's your weight loss this far? So interested. Shelly
  21. Typically speaking you seem to be going through the official grieving process, maybe just a little more enhanced. Here's some thoughts or ideas to try; 1) ask your boyfriend for more support and not to eat Pizza Hut or trigger foods in front of you. 2) take a walk or plan an activity when he is having dinner. 3) seek counselling or look for local support groups (or just pretend your an alcoholic and go to an AA meeting for support- lol) joke 4) think of the reasons that you decided to do such a drastic change, health, think about your goals, personal and scale. 5) find some guided meditation on the Internet and listen to that. Ground yourself. Now I say this and I'm 2 days away from surgery so I can't fully relate. Perhaps next week I'll be posting the same but I know I'd love it if someone was telling me that it is normal. Tell that boyfriend of yours to be more supportive!! Lol Take it easy and keep me informed! Shelly
  22. I don't understand your "links below" comments. You seem so put together and I'd love to pick your brain. Shelly
