  1. November 5!! I hope we can all swap stories??
  2. So, how's everything going? Did you have the surgery? How is the battle? Mines on November 5 and I'm pretty nervous. Arg!!
  3. Omg, I think if you eat that cheeseball burger, it might just be your last meal EVER. Lol, I've never seen something so crazy. Good luck with that and I hope you don't suffer a heart attack. Lol
  4. Hi, I'm from Ottawa and just 1 month away from my surgery. Holy moly, it's coming quick, if you could give me the most important thing that you have learned post op.. What would it be?
  5. Sister, I'm a 46 H.. I feel your pain! Can't wait for some reduction. Lol
  6. Hi everyone. Just wondering about the smoking situation? Has anyone smoked through the process? Or started again afterwards. I met someone during one of my classes that is smoking throughout the whole thing and hiding it. I've smoked a bit here and there and have surgery on nov. 5th. No more for me.
  7. It's so true, if they called me tomorrow and said liquid diet time, I'd hop on board too. It's time but the lasts are always in the corner of my mind. They can stay there and chill out while I continue on my journey.
  8. Bronxmerci, thank god I'm not the only one. Lol the lady that booked my surgery even booked me after our Canadian thanksgiving so I could "eat turkey and stuffing for the last time." So I'm guessing they are aware of this "lasts" phenomena too! Lol, I plan a couple drinking parties too.
  9. Good luck daronb! 5 days before me! So exciting eh?
  10. Mine is on Nov. 5th, does that count as October kinda sorta? Lol
  11. Agreed wlswarrior! I can't wait to not think about food or be physically incapable of over eating. I'm so ready for this!
  12. It's true that they aren't sad thoughts, I'm not depressed about the lasts. It's almost comparative to the grieving process for me however. a healthy way of saying goodbye to all my old habits, my crutches, my favourite tastes. Bye old friends, you suck! Lol
  13. Hi everyone. this is my first time posting and very new to this support group. I have my surgery (RNY) scheduled for November 5th and set to start optifast on October 15th. I'm so excited a little nervous too but I'm going through this little phase where I think, "last time for this, last time for that," thing. Like eating at my favourite restaurant for the last time, having a girls wine night etc.. I'm hoping I'm not the only one that has done or who is doing this? I think it's a pretty realistic thing to do considering the massive changes up ahead. Anyone with me here? Lol
  14. I'm a little worried about water intake too. I'm a gulper currently and trying up curb this habit. I'm completely new to this site and have my date for RNY in Ottawa on November 5.
