  1. I get board with plain chocolate and vanilla so I add flavors to them. Maybe if you tried that you would like them more. My Nut said that it was okay to add a couple drops of extract to it and I also was given the suggestion to put sugar free orange Jello powder in the vanilla one to make it taste like a creamcicle. Premier is the only one I use now. I'm praying I will still like them post op but making them different flavors is working very well for me.
  2. I saw a post on pinterest of a lady who used the wraps and defining gel by itworks to help with loose skin. She loved it! And it doesn't dry you out at all.
  3. I don't understand why people are going home with drains. I guess this is another indication of how each surgeon is different. My drain will come out before they discharge me.
  4. I have to look it up to see if it has caffeine but I don't think it does. It's all natural. Check out myitworks.com. they are a little expensive but to me they are worth it.
  5. Prayer is huge in my life! I can't survive with out it...with out HIM!
  6. Not all wraps are water weight loss. I used to use body wraps before I started on this journey and I plan to go back to them once I start to lose. The ones I used don't boast weight loss and it is suggested you drink lots of water while you wrap.
  7. I was told 2-3 hours. I was also told that open procedures are shorter, ,around 90 minutes.
  8. Congratulations! Awesome, inspiring story!! I am 21 days away from my surgery and starting to get jitters so posts like this help me remember that the reward is greater than the risk! God bless you on your journey. Lauren
  9. Right! I'm waiting for my pastor.to ask me what kind of surgery. I call him dad too. His kids and I grew up together so they are like my second family.
  10. So my mom tells me that my dad asked my pastor to pray for me for my upcoming surgery. He didn't say what kind of surgery though (THANK GOD!!). What she didn't tell me is that he did this during corporate prayer service at my church on Wednesday....in front of the ENTIRE congregation!!!! So when I got to church this morning, about 4 people came up to me asking me if I was okay....Smh....he meant well but now I have people looking at me like I'm dying because they don't know what kind of surgery I'm having! Lol! And on top of that, dad tells me that our retired police negotiator deacon cornered him asking a thousand questions trying to get more info! LOL!!!!! This is going to be interesting because we have some nosey people at my church lol:p
  11. How much were they at Sam's club? They were on sale for $19.99 at Costco.
  12. Yes, it is a blend. But it's on the list my nutritionist gives. She says it's very popular too. This goes to show, every provider is different.
  13. I think that no matter what protein you use, you have to use something additional to get rid of that awful taste it leaves behind. I read in the packet I got from my pre op class that you can try sugar free jell-o powder in your shakes. Specifically orange flavor added to the vanilla shakes to make it taste like a creamcicle. I can't wait to try that one!
  14. How exactly did you do it?? Because your HW is 3 lbs higher than mine and you ate just 5" taller than me. I didn't think that kind of loss in 5 montgs was possible! I'm 3 weeks away from surgery and seeing this again is extremely motivating to me!
  15. Most of the stories I've heard about peoples loss have been really great. They have lost a lot more than the average. I have a friend who lost all of her excess weight in 10 months. Everybody is different but it is absolutely possible for you to lose way more than 60 pounds. They have to give you averages but you will find that most people lose more.
  16. Hope you feel better soon! Get some rest!
  17. Hope you feel better. I had the same flu like symptoms last week for 3 days. The 4 th day I was just about back to my old self. Day 2 was death! Drink as much as possible and see a doctor about that ear. Ear infections can go away on their own but meds will kick it's butt lot faster!
  18. I didn't see those when I went to the grocery store. I'll have to check Walmart and Whole Foods. They sound good!!
  19. Yes!! Specifically for vitamins. Chewable, powdered, and liquid. And yes to the autoship. It would also be awesome if you sold the sugar free syrups that we can use in our shakes.....and protein water. One stop shopping!!
  20. I sent her an email but I wanted to poll the forum too.....I'm so impatient lol
  21. Has anyone ever used extracts to flavor their shakes? My mother suggested it and it sounds like a great idea but I'm not sure if it's okay to use them.
  22. I think I mentioned that I'm not normally a vanilla lover when it comes to protein shakes. I bought 2 cases from Costco so that I can put the sugar free syrups in to change the taste up. I tried it plain today and I have to say, I think I like better than the chocolate. It kind of reminds me of a vanilla milk shake. I am going to try both of the shakes in the blender with some ice and possibly some instant coffee. I put Folgers's hazelnut coffee flavor in my chocolate and it reminded me of the hazelnut macchiato from Starbucks. Today is day 3 of my pre-op diet and I did horribly the first 2 days! smh but today I got in 90g of protein from shakes and protein water!!
  23. Another thing...if you have small children and have a baby bullet, that's great for pureed foods. And it cones with a tray if tiny containers with tops that you can freeze. I have one and I was just about to give it to my sister in law. She can have it when I'm done lol
