Tonight for the first time in a long time, I went to the club. I went with my God brother and his wife (I call her my sister) and I had an awesome time! For the first time in at least 10 years I didn't feel like the fat ass outcast. I'm not sure if it's the little boost of confidence I have since the surgery or the awesomeness of the people I was with. I think it may have been both because I went on a cruise with some of these people about a year ago and I didn't feel the same then. I'm grateful for them and for the surgery! Tonight confirms that I'm surrounded by supportive friends who love unconditionally AND that I did the right thing for me having this surgery. God is so awesome and I am eternally grateful!!

DOS 2/10. HW 298; SW 289; CW 257. I was down to 253 but, according to my surgeon, I wasn't getting enough calories. So now I'm forcing myself to get in 1000 cals a day but it's hard and I end up eating things I shouldn't just to get there. I think I'm going to focus less on getting there an more on better food choices. I did start working out yesterday. I plan to do every other day until I get the stamina for every day.

I haven't been out to get any but I will get some when I go to the store Monday. The night I was coughing and vomiting I had my last everything around 8pm. It was like 3 am when this happened. The last Thing I had was applesauce.

After a severe case of constapation and a stall that I believe to be a side effect of being literally full of.....you know.....I've decided to go back to the begenning of mostly liquids until I see my surgeon next week. I'm in some pain from all the hours of pushing and straining (tmi...sorry) plus a night of coughing and vomiting up all the nothing on my stomach. I just pray nothing inside is messed up or leaking! In the meantime, Protein OD, here I come!!

I have been under twice. The first time was for my c section and I only remember they put a tube JP my nose and told me to count backward. The ceiling was shit and it looked like an all white kalidescope (sp?). Lol For the sleeve the anesthesiologist told me he put something in my iv to relax me and I would get something to put me to sleep when I got into the OR.....I was out long before that. I felt a little high like I had laughing gas or something. Then I woke up in recovery.

Your coworkers needs to have several seats! Voluntarily going under anesthesia and the knife and then going from eating/drinkingwhat you want to newborn/infant stages of eating is in NO way the east way out. Doing absolutely nothing is the easy way out....but that would end in death! We choose to live and the steps it takes to do that aren't easy!

I have like 4 bruises on my ARM from the hep shots. I also have bruised where they tried and failed to draw blood. The bruises where the 3 IVs were put in just went away.

To me its more annoying than anything only because you have to watch the clock.

The lady did tell me it wasn't easy and when she started she was about my size (at the time I was 298). I have to get up the nerve....and find a partner because I'm not going alone lol!

Just curious to know if anyone has tried hot yoga and if it helped with the saggy skin any? I have been wanting to try it (I'm not the most coordinated though). Someone stopped me on the street one day and told me about it. She actually apologized before she started talking because she wanted to respectfully tell me how it helped her with her weight problem. I wish I would have gotten her number so I could pick her brain about it. Since I didn't, I would like to know your experiences with it

My sister-friend called me "soggy bottom girl" because my jeans are too big.

I used to work for the military medical system. Tricare doesn't cover plastics unless its medically necessary and that is hard to prove. I had an officer friend have it done and she had a lot of other issues that went along with it like pain and excess scar tissue. It took her almost a year to get approved.

I'm about 17 days post op and I already see a difference in my shoe size. Pre op I was in an 11. The one pair of "heels" (they are actually 5.5" wegdes) that was comfortable for me to wear to church are an 11 and they are now flopping off my feet. My 10's are officially back in action....but they are a little looser than I remember too. Some of it could be that I'm no longer retaining Fluid like I used to but I'll take it! It's hard as hell to find cute shoes in an 11!

Thanks Ms. Kathy! I am going to pay extra close attention to my measurements and how my clothes fit. So far, if I only focus in that, I'm extremely happy! Happy to be wearing baggy jeans out tonight....who would have thought lol!

My weight hasn't changed in almost a week. Could I be in a stall already??? :(

6 months to eat solids!!??? Goodness! But I guess it majesty sense. My friend is almost a year out and just started tolerating wings.

Awesome. Thanks! I usually try to stay away from Panera because they have this bagel I love! But I'll try their turkey chili. I'll probably make some sooner though.

Thanks. I thought it would be fine because its that frozen honey BBQ chicken with a good amount of sauce....I won't be making that mistake again lol Do you make your own turkey chili or do you buy it?

The feeling of food in my throat! I microwaved some chicken wing for my son and threw in one flat piece for myself. That was about an hour and a half ago. I took the skin off and just ate the meat but I think maybe I didn't chew it enough and now I feel like its just sitting in my throat Help!!!

my scars are almost not visible and I'm 2.5 weeks post op. Once the scab falls off the biggest one I'll know about that one but I really do think it depends on the person....and the surgeon too.
