  2. Yes, it was a two part. First was to diagnose then the second was to determine the settings the dr. Recommened were ok and to try out the different masks.
  3. Whoops tried to to post before but it disappeared. Just wanted to thank you for your support and encouragement. It really means a lot . Besides my immediate family I have only told 2 friends. Although they are both support one lost 50 pounds on her own years ago and maintains the loss and the other has always been a size 6. So as wonderful as they are it it means a lot hearing from other vsg ers.
  4. Hi everyone! Just finished bingeing on Queen's blog...what an inspiration! My surgery date is Oct. 22 but I have one more diet class before they can submit to insurance for approval. I was having waves of anxiety about the surgery and possible complications, and concerns about my age but after reading Queen of Crops blog, I just want to save my life and give this present to myself and my husband. She made me realize that I was the only one standing in my way... I don't want to be pushed in wheelchair thru an airport or be too fat to fit in theatre seats anymore. I just want to wish everyone good luck and a healthy future!
  5. My date is Oct. 22 and I am also very scared. But I just keeping reminding myself of all the wonderful successes and how this surgery is going to change (save) my life. We're going to great, naan!

  8. Forgot to mention my surgery isn't until Oct.
  9. Hi Everyone! I'm a newbie and looking forward to getting support and advice from others on this journey. I have read several times in several different places about sleevers having hernia repairs during their surgery. It often sounds to me like the hernia wasn't seen in pre-op tests. Is this often the case? I mentioned to my surgeon that I had developed a little lump next to my belly button and wondered if it could be a hernia. He said he'll see when I have the surgery and if so he'll fix it. But he didn't look at the lump and there wasn't any mention of it in the pre-op tests. I guess I shouldn't be concerned if my dr isn't. But does hernia repair cause complications? Thanks for any replies!
  10. I'm scheduled for Oct. 22nd. but still have two more diet classes to go before they can submit my records to the ins. Company for approval. Very nervous! Anyone have surgery at Anne Arundel? Would love to hear your experience and advice. So far The program has been wonderful!
