Shmeyers I get a bit confused at how these post come through but I think u were talking to me about the goal weight being the same as well as the height. :-) My surgeon came up with it although it make on the boarder of being overweight on the medical charts! If I make it to 140, I will try to get to 135.

I'm in Hampton Virginia. My surgeon doesn't require a pre-op diet. I only have to be on clear liquids for 24 hours prior to surgery. I think it depends on what your BMI is and how your liver function test comes back. I guess I am lucky. Good luck to you also.

Sharon Congratulations. I will be sleeved on 7 October. Going for my preop tomorrow. Im anxious and cant sleep, lol. I will only 2 weeks off. I hope it will be enough time.

I have BC/BS Federal and add to list all the diet attempts that I had tried in the past basically the year I tried them the date I tried them how much weight I lost and then how much if any I regained. My surgeon had a form that has different types of weight loss places that you may have gone Yee. Weight Watchers, Atkins, the different places that you buy the meals and lose weight like Jenny Craig Nutrisystem. I think I had to list at least three or four but that's all they required from me it didn't have to be listed in my medical record thru my PCM I just had to be a tent that I said I try to do. I would call your insurance company and get verification on exactly what they need that would be the best thing good luck with that. I am using voice to text on this message so if there are any errors forgive me.

Laynie Did they give you any samples of protein mixes or drinks for your preop diet or did they just give you a list of what to buy?

I go in Monday for my preop my EKG and my labs. I meet with the surgeon for the last time and then I guess everything else is ready to go. Good luck everybody!

Diva that diet doesn't sound too bad at all . My surgeon doesn't require a two week diet just requires two days of clear liquids . My date as of today was changed to the seventh because of a conflict on the eighth so now I will be 7 October so I will be one day after you . W e will keep each other on track!

Thanks for the words of wisdom. Good luck with your surgery I think everything is going to go well for all of us. By the way I had a call from the surgery scheduler today they change my surgery date from 8 October to 7 October. Yikes now I'm even more nervous ha ha.
