I was unfilled prob 8 months ago from a slip (completely my fault). Then started going back up slowly. My dr saaid once u have had an unfill it will take more to get u back at the same place asu were before the unfill. We filled up soooo slowly it was miserable. I wanted to eat everything. Now in the last 2 months i have hit my green zone losing 5-8 pounds per month. I have just now been diagnosed with very high thyroid. Dr wants me to start taking anti thyroid meds. But i am scared of gaining weight. Apparently 5% of people with hyperthyroid are overweight. I guess i am one of unlucky few. Hope u all find ur green zone again (78 lb lost in 1 yr????)

Hi i know this is an old thread but i too have hyper thyroid. I started taking tapazole today. Scared i will regain weight??

I might be interested. Wearing 24 26 right now.

My drs have been watching my thyroid levels creep up. Now they are 3x normal. Also have big nodule on one side if neck. Started anti thyroid med today. I am freaked out this is going to make it harder to lose weight??

I had complete unfill. So nervous and upset. Noticed hunger came back like a mad dog!! Took phentermine to get through. I was only unfilled 3 weeks because of a slip. I gained 3 lbs but i was freaking miserable. Cancelled all plans. No one could be around me or i would bite their head off. Now slowly getting refilled and just maintaining. Not losing ????

Just had to have all fluid taken out because of terrible left sided pain. Dr states probably happened when i threw up. Now no fluid scared on liquids for four days. Have list 55 lbs in 7 months. Had finally gotten to green zone ????

I experienced same kind of thing. But had vomiting every time i ate. Intestinal cramps etc.... My dr did the weirdest thing he gave me .2 cc fill and it all went away. I know its opposite of what u would think. But thank God i feel soo much better

Oh gosh u guys r a help. Had first fill yesterday. Cant get much down except liquids. But soooo hungry. Like hungrier than ever since i got banded 6 weeks ago. Started worrying but sounds like pretty normal ????

6 weeks. had first one done today. inserted 1 cc, he states he had 2 cc in there after surgery so now have 3 cc.s hoping its enough to calm me down for thanksgiving

I think johnsydney ur not helping anyone with such comments in the lapband forum. I come here for advice from people who have made their lap band work. Please think about that before u post. Especially in response to someone just a few days out of surgery. U can really put bad thoughts in peoples heads.

Horrible video. She contradicts herself back and forth. She says she cant eat anything without throwing up. Then says she can eat a whole plate of food. I call bullshit!!!! Dont know why but for some reason she failed and now she is trying to discourage others from success.

What should i do. I way over ate and now i hurt. I feel like i want to throw up. But i am scared. My stomach hurts. What should i do.

Just watch me. That was the nicest post ever ????. Just called my dr. He said basically what u said!! I am on soft meats and cooked veggies. Had baked chicken with some veggies. He said i will b fine just to use this as a learning exp and dont do it again. I am sooo miserable. Just horrible full feeling. Have to stay sitting up with small sips water. Thx again. I will do liquids tomorrow.

Can happen. Happened to me with elavil for migraines 30 lbs in just 4-5 months

We are being told here in US that canada has a perfect socialized medical program. Could we just be getting propaganda. 2-3 years ti get surgery is way too long. God help us with this obamacare!!!

I am right there with u. Lost 28 lbs. 3 weeks to go until first fill my surgery 9-30. Cant wait dr told me this is the worse part of whole thing. He said if u can at least manage to keep wt stable during that time u r doing good. And if u can manage to lose a little weight during this time u r doing super. So we both are doing super!!! Congrats????

Wow just read ur story. Very inspirational. Good to hear the band worked so well. Gives me hope. It seems people are telling me why didn't u have bypass or u should have done the sleeve etc.... Did not feel comfortable with those options. I am a nurse and have seen some bad stuff with those surgeries. Thank again for giving me some confidence in my decision.

No. No fill yet. 3 more weeks till fill. Dr said this is hardest time because no fill can result in bigger appetite. Can't wait till fill !

I was in the hospital surgical dept about 8 hrs. From pre op to discharge. Had a little hard time waking up from nausea med. At discharge i just sat right up jumped in the wheelchair. Got up in our truck with no pain. I was thinking how easy it felt until....... The next morning. Ouchhhhh. It all hit me then bad pain right under diaphragm. Its normal. Went away after a couple days and then..... Ouchhhhh from port site. Lasted about 2 weeks. Now 3 weeks out feeling almost 100%. Good luck

I have wondered if it is ok to take diet pills with lap band surgery? Did the dr say it is ok????

I am taking 1 month. I am a nurse in a very very busy office. So my doc said 30 days. I am going in on wed just because my energy level has fallen.

Ended up with slight staph infection. Antibiotics have almost taken care of burning and incision has healed close Praise the Lord!!! 28-29 lbs down 5 weeks including pre op Pretty excited. This thing actually works ????
