Been on every diet in this world but it would always come back and more.  When I heard of the Lapband surgery I wanted it immediately.  Started going to the seminars right away but had to be very persistant because of my age and Medicare.  I was 70 at the time.  It took about a year to get scheduled and I was really thrilled to know I was going to get a chance at losing weight.  It has now been just over 2 years and I have gone from 230 to 175 and am VERY HAPPY with the results.  I don't have to worry about my weight anymore.  Health wise----what a difference.  Sleep Apnia is almost completely gone (it will be very nice to not use the mask anymore....I hope)
