Omg!! Finally got my surgery date? Omg! What am I to do? What do i eat before? What can I have after? Soups and broth for first couple of weeks?? I'm gonna die! My anxiety is in over drive, HELP ME!!!

My egd is finally done, that was done and completed on Wed. Next step: appointment on Friday with surgeon and gastrointestinal Dr (for results) then I should be given my date!!! Excited

Tmrw I will see a new Dr. I will be going to the WLI of Az. I just felt like my other Drs office dropped the ball too many times, I felt like I was the surgery coordinator. I had to call and notify them of insurance approval, and they failed to call me w/my time for EGD, which I even called 2 days prior to remind them, and still no call back day of. So hopefully tmrw I will feel better w/my decision. I've had to jump thru lots of hoops to get this far, now to start all over again! Maybe it's a sign?? Idk...fingers crossed.

I started off w/Dr. Simpsons office but I now have an appt w/WLI of Az tmrw. Hope this is the right decision

Ugh...I didnt even have it done! The procedure center and my surgeons office, dropped the ball and not one of them called me w/appt time. I even called 2 days before, to are what was going on, still day of no phn call

finally scheduled for EGD on Friday. Wow surgery day is approaching, hopefully by Christmas!

Finally got the phone call (Yes it did help to RELAX!! ) my surgery is approved, approved, approved!! BUT of course there is always a BUT I need to be sch for an EGD first. My consult is for next Thursday. But I can't complain, the ball is rolling....

I called my surgeons office last week Friday, told still pending. Called my insurance on Tuesday, left msg w/nursing certification team. They called me back yesterday, said it was APPROVED as of Oct 14. Yay! So I finally get a phn call from surgeons office and she again tells me, "well it's still in pending phase, give it a few more days." So I sure did stop her and inform her of the news she wasn't aware of. Shldnt they be on top of all of this?? I had to tell her to call insurance and get back to me, and she hasn't yet!! I can't be the patient and the surgeons office to make all these calls that she is suppose to be on top of.

I thought after lap band surgery there was ABSOLUTELY NO bread allowed? Just not white bread? So wheat and whole grain is allowed??? Any info will help

I have BCS of AZ. I'm done w/all my required appts. Its been a week and 3 days since my surgeons office submitted all the paperwork. I called my surgeons office today and they told me that my authorization is in "the pending phase" it can be up to another week before I hear anything back, oh the waiting game. Good luck to you!

I'm still waiting for my BCBS of AZ to approve it. its been a week as of Tuesday, but I so want that letter of approval!! Good luck to you!

So I finally got thru to the surgery coordinator at my surgeons office today (only took 3 days of phone tag) but as of right now my authorization is in the "pending phase" and they have a authorization specialist over looking it now!! She states will get back to me today.

This is scary!! Please get seen ASAP!! Sending get better wishes, keep us updated.!!

My surgeons office submitted all required paperwork 3 days ago! I called my insurance company to check status of paperwork received, and of course my insurance has no such paperwork!!! Called surgeons office and get voicemail, grrrr. I knew this was gonna happen, just my luck!! Maybe its a sign?!?!

YES YES YES!!!! got the phn call from surgeons office, they have all the required paperwork, they will submit to my insurance today!!! ????????????

All my required appts are done, the nutritionist said give her 2 days to send over her clearance (so that wld be 9/26) do I wait and let surgeons office call me? Do I call them and be a pest? Anxious is what I am....
