  1. I drink them every day. I like the mocha but I wouldn't say they're the best thing ever.

  4. My husband had the sleeve in May. He's down 85 lbs! no major complications but the recovery was rough and there are some lifetime changes to consider. So worth it!
  5. Sorry not to be clear - I had the lap band surgery. Are you having a diff procedure?

  9. My surgeon and my husband's surgeon (we had diff procedures With diff surgeons) said the same thing - reducing the size of the liver. They have to lift it to get to the stomach.
  10. It's so inspiring to read all of the weight everyone is losing. I'm only down 30 after 6 weeks but taking it a day at a time. Thanks for sharing everyone!
  11. I had some issues in the first week but not since then. My surgeon (they're all different) filled it to 4 cc at the hospital - I felt terrible that day - better the next. Day 3 was the worst. I wondered if I had made a huge mistake. The nausea was causing awful dry heaving - couldn't do anything. I went in and they removed the fluid. Whew - I've been just fine since. Getting my 3rd fill on Monday but I'm only at 3 cc and still losing. Rockin and Rollin at this point.

  13. My husband had the sleeve in May. I was banded in August. You definitely have to choose what's right for you. Glad to have the support at home. I have learned that each of the procedures has it's ups and downs.
  14. Good luck! I had my surgery 8/4 and down 30 lbs. My 2 yo weighs that and goodness is she heavy!
  15. Got it. Thank you for creating the Austin chapter. My husband had gastric sleeve in May and I just had the lap band 3 weeks ago. We are both battling the wanting food demons.

  17. Good luck. The first few days suck but it gets so much better. Had my surgery 3 weeks ago. Down 23 lbs - if I can do it - you can do it!!
  18. I had 4 cc when I left - had it removed 2 days after due to swelling causing me to dry heave constantly. Had 2.5 put in at 3 weeks post op.
  19. Wait this Saturday is Aug 30th. Is it this one or next? 11am.
  20. Thanks y'all. It's a tough road - feels good to know I'm not alone.
  21. What time on Saturday September 6th?
  22. It's my 3 week surgiversary and I guess I'm looking for support to help me with the "break up" with food. I find myself eating half portions of much smaller meals, but still wanting to eat even though I'm not feeling the need to eat. I want food and don't want to waste food - but not needing it so much. I get my first fill today and am nervous how that will be. I've only lost a little so far, which was mostly the no carbs pre-op diet. Has anyone else felt this way?
