I'm hoping that's how they will kind of see it, the surgery really is my last option because nothing else has worked or it has worked in the past but I couldn't keep it off! Now I honestly feel like my body is like okay I'm sick and tired of u trying to lose this weight I'm not going to let u anymore lol at my last appointment I only lost one pound in a month and started crying the second the nurse walked into the room and I just said well this is why I'm here and she was great! So well see!!! Great job with your success btw!!!! I'm def going to try that!! Are u still Preop or have u had the surgery??

I am having no success at all losing weight before hand has anyone else experience this? The program I'm in I was put on the south beach diet..although I'm meeting with the surgeon on Tuesday and worried that because I haven't had any success they won't schedule me the surgery because I haven't lost the required 12 lbs although the NP Told me last month that I was doing great following the guidelines and doing what they asked of me and said I was rest for surgery

Sorry I'm not sure why it posted so many times!! But I'm glad I wasn't alone!!! I think renewing your vows is a great idea I'll Probley do the same! That way I can really know how it feels to be a beautiful bride!!!! Good luck with yours also!!!

My final straw was when I was at my bridal shower last aug, I wore a dress which I thought flattered me to only have my dad tell me that he was really worried about me because I have gained so much weight! I know he did it because he loves me but I was like ohh man I thought I was looking good for my shower and was really unhappy during my wedding, didn't feel like the beautiful bride I should of felt like because I was so self conscious, I had to come to the realization that I have reached the heaviest I have ever been from that moment I gave weight watchers a try (again) lost 30lbs but gained back 25 of it and then I just had it!! Couldn't do the yoyo anymore...when I was 21 i went from 200 to 170, then went back to 200, then gained 10lbs then lost 30 then gained 40..same old Story..so now I sit at my heaviest of 250 and I cannot wait until I get my sleeve!!!

I was actually told I didn't need a sleep study don't be because I've never had any type of sleeping issues! No snoring, trouble sleeping, stop breathing while sleeping or anything like that!! The nurse asked me if I felt I needed one I said no and that was that

Forthrloveofme! Yes I looked into synergy but they didn't have near as good reviews as dr Hoffman! I also had a friend who just had it done with Hoffman and she loved him so that sold me...and trust me we def do all go thru..that I went back and fourth for months researching and making sure it's what I wanted..then realized it's what I needed to be healthy because diets and exercise weren't working anymore...my husband was very apprehensive at first because of course he loves me the way I am and couldn't begin to know how it feels to be overweight..but after we went to the seminar and the first visit and he researched it more he realized it was a great decision for my health, not to mention to have healthier pregnancies in the future..so maybe once he learns more about it he'll be very supportive of the idea!! Don't let that hold you back do what is going to make you happy!

Hello welcome to the group!!! Where are u having the surgery done forloveofme?? I'm pre everything too just had my edg done yesterday and meeting with dr hoffman at buff general on Tuesday!! It's a pretty exciting journey!! You'll find this site very helpful for guidance and support!

I just had my endoscopy done by dr hoffman yesterday it was my first time meeting him besides the seminar!! And he was great!! Came in and told me what was going to happen then got my husband after and told him everything on how I was doing and the findings I meet with him on Tuesdays!! And I'm so excited hoping they give me a surgery date!!!

Hey shellydd sorry you've had such a hard time with things!! I guess I got lucky and things seem to be moving Along pretty good for me, I didn't need a sleep study and the only Thing they rescheduled was the edg because the doc had a death in his family but the week after I have that I have my meeting with him so hopefully I'll be okay for mid December for Surgery!!! I wish you luck with everything keep me updated hope Things start working out better!!

Yeah I've been on the south beach for about a month haven't had much success but the awesome NP in the office said that I have been doing everything I need to keeping my food and exercise logs and she still schedule me to meet dr hoffman and claimed me ready for surgery my meeting with him is nov 18 I'm so excited!!!!!!! How are you doing???

Does anyone know what supplement you take to help thicken your hair to help with the hair loss? I haven't had surgery yet but my nurse practitioner recommended I start taking something now but I can't remember what it is!!

Hey there!!!! Wow I'm with dr hoffman also!!!! In the beginning stages!!! I'm in lockport having my IDG with him on nov 12th then my meeting with him the 18th I've heard nothing but great thing about him!! I'm super confident with my choice in surgeons and super excited to meet Him!!

Well here's an update!! I went on Friday to meet with the NP and Nut and even though I only lost 2lbs I lost 3 lbs of fat...I was really worried that I didn't reach where it needed to be and would have to wait another month to lose more weight to even meet with the surgeon and get a surgery date!! But...thankfully the nurse told me that she was very proud of me because I have been working out and eating good and keeping my logs, and im doing exactly what they want me to do..so now I get to meet with the surgeon after my edg November 18th!!! I'm so excited that I get to get this ball rolling!!! After all that worry and stress turned out just fine!!!

Thank u for the support!!! Ya it's hard I do understand their reasons but it's really hard since I feel like my body is just done with me losing weight!! I took advice and I completely stopped with the carbs and went to the gym a lot this week every day so far but wed and even wed I did Zumba at home and my weights and weighted myself and lost only .3 lbs it's just discoursing and just feels like it's going to take me forever go get the surgery done just because of this stupid 12lbs

What are some good shakes you guys might recommend for weight lose? I haven't had surgery yet and am just in the beginning stages, need to lose 12 lbs before I can make the appointment with my surgeon I want to try shakes...anyone recommend any?
