I could add protein powder to broth as 1 of my shakes, so I wasn't stuck with just sweet stuff. Maybe try something like this if the south beach diet isn't working. (Besides, if South Beach really worked we wouldn't need surgery ???? )

Thank you for the helpful tip!!! I'm hoping that's how they will kind of see it, the surgery really is my last option because nothing else has worked or it has worked in the past but I couldn't keep it off! Now I honestly feel like my body is like okay I'm sick and tired of u trying to lose this weight I'm not going to let u anymore lol at my last appointment I only lost one pound in a month and started crying the second the nurse walked into the room and I just said well this is why I'm here and she was great! So well see!!! Great job with your success btw!!!! I'm def going to try that!! Are u still Preop or have u had the surgery??

My preop was bouillon, water, decaf tea, and protein shakes. Lost 10 pounds in two weeks.

I just started my preop diet and am having headaches. Anyone else experience headaches when dieting?

yep, had wicked headaches that lasted 3-4 days. had to wrap a warm towel around my head just to sleep. and I was starved and grumpy the whole time. no one said it was going to be easy....but it's all worth it. I'd go through it all again in a heartbeat.

Yes, it only lasted the first week though. It gets easier!

Yes had headaches n low in energy. I spoke with the nutritionist and said try and have Mistro soup apparently body is low in salt due to low calorie intake.
