  1. So I received a call from my dr today. My liver biopsy shows that I have NASH (fatty liver). I have an appt with a specialist on Wed. I'm freaking out a bit. Has anyone else been through this?

  4. I can tell you that I haven't been sick. A little tired, but we're mom's and have handled much worse. My fears took the backseat to my wanting to get healthy. You can do this.... For you!

  6. Hi! I'm just 4 days post surgery, but I'm feeling great! I've struggled with my weight for many years. After I quit smoking 10 yrs ago I gained roughly 50lbs over the next 5 years. I also had major stressors going on in my life. I bought my first home and within days my daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Being an emotional eater did not help! I started debating about weight loss surgery roughly 4years ago. I attended the seminar and then "chickened out". I wonder if my life would be different had I stayed strong and had the surgery. Two years ago, at the age of 39, I had a heart attack. Genetics played a part, but the biggest factor was my weight. Since the heart attack I've yo-yo'd with 20lbs, but haven't kept it off. I also had a stint put in last year. My daughter is now in college and struggles with weight and keeping her blood sugars level. I want her to live a healthier life and hope I can be here to inspire and help her.

  10. Surgery 8/11 and feeling great! I'm not having any food cravings specifically, I just want to have to chew. In the hospital they have great ice but now I'm stuck with cubes. I'm happy to find this forum.
