  1. Just went for my first post op visit. I lost 9lbs, the dr was satisfied. He gave me the go ahead for the next food phase. I came home mix up my tuna and light mayo....mmmm I ate small bites and about halfway thru I feel like I swallowed a cannon ball. Reality check! I really have to slow down eating, wait between bites and I sure can't eat a lot. Lesson learned. Next appointment in 3 weeks and the doctor is looking for a 10lb loss. BM issue almost gone, thank God. Hope everyone's issues are slowly disappearing.
  2. Not to share TMI but yesterday I thought I was going to blow up! I hadn't had a BM since before my surgery on the 25th. The pain was unbearable...finally I was able to go. I walked this morning and had another successful event. Gas is still bad. Anyone else having this issue?
  3. Day 5, gas is minimal thank God. Have not gotten my protein in yet but I'm a work in progress. Had a nice walk and I'm hoping that will help with the residual gas. My urine is clear so no worries of dehydration. NO BM as of yet. I can actually say I'm beginning to feel alive. My scale broke so I have no idea how much weight I've lost. I'll know Tuesday when I go to Dr's. I hope all my fellow August sleevers are doing well.
  4. I think most people get pre surgery jitters of some kind. After the recovery time most people are glad they went ahead. Everyone's experience is different as you can see by reading the posts. I was sleeved 8/25 and each day has been a little better. The first day when I woke up I thought, "geeze this is permenant". You must do what is best for you. Personally I'm glad I did it. Good luck no patter what!
  5. That's how I feel, so far 4oz tomatoe soup is my best friend.
  6. Day five and gas is still bad, but generally better. Ate a puddong with protein in it for breakfast and a half a cup of coffee. It will be soup for lunch. Goal for today is to walk outside.
  7. Amorga, I have a 5lb lift limit, so be careful! Good luck.
  8. I got dilaudid in the hospital IV for pain and Tylenol w/codine for home. That may be making me dizzy. I think I may be a little dehydrated, I'm trying to push more liquids. The only real discomfort I have is from the gas. I do have some uncomfortable feelings in my left side where I think most of the surgery was done they also fixed a hiatal hernia in me but it's not really painful. No energy, but not eating much. I had no drain.
  9. Hello all, looks like I'm the wimp of the bunch. I've slept for 72 hrs. I was very dizzy and just gave up walking. I have suffered from dizziness in the past. Gas is bad and abdominal pain a close second. Gas coming out slowly and today I made it to my living room. I've sipped some liquids and also found burping after helps. Not to ask TMI but has anyone had a bowel movement? I can actually see improvement so I'm not giving up. Good luck to all of you guys.
