  1. rip carlene ... cough HH,
  2. no & yes. i had a spicy tuna roll the other day - all 5 pcs.....some can handle, others not. the sticky rolls can be a problem, i just go slow to get my sushi fix in. when i cook rice @home i go the true brown rice route - as far as mushy, i'd find another subsitute.
  3. i'm going to play w/this - thanks diva!!!
  4. we were having martinis w/a certain vodka & DH decided that's what she should be called. probably all wrong - but it suits her. SO glad to get my morning taps/slim chit chat back. i'm usually up right after them and have missed their quips:)
  5. big smile crossed my face seeing you post again. so glad your back~!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. i'm ok w/that:)
  7. i'm not running, so maybe that's the difference? typically i have greek yogurt w/fruit. btw - doing nothing today:)
  8. kat - not sure, but i think your DD can petition the court re - CS w/out having to hire an attorney. i would check into that - beth gave some good advice, that if no order is in place re- visitation restriction.....he take her and she have no recourse..?? beth - yeah, i posted too many pics of her (name is goose) on FB this wkend. glouc - i got the watermelon mojito recp from dana, they are EVIL - but YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!! *in removing tag mode* DH and i did some retail therapy yesterday - lots of new gym clothes, new tennis shoes, jeans & more flip flops ..... pretty sure puppy will nab a pair of two:biggrin:
  9. yawn to the first part....:blushing: awesome on the 6 miles!!!!! it's official - i can only wkout in the AM, afternoon was very lame & i have food issues. i like to eat my Breakfast right before i drive to the gym (15min away) - that way it's not sitting right on top of me, but i have fuel....odd i know! sat - spin class sun - 20min row - 30min treadmill *shoulder are tight this am from the rowing, but i really liked that workout & will add it to my wkly routine*
  10. kat- that story is very disturbing. document, document, document - pics included. your daughter sounds like she's going to have hard time w/her ex - lack of CS & all. sad. yes michelle, got a new pup on friday...2 wks after having put down my golden. she was found wandering the neighborhood for a wk - starved & covered in fleas. we think she was dumped because no one was looking for her / no chip etc......so she's mine. here is a pic of her - goose is her name. enjoy your day off slim!!!
  11. try adding veggies/grains/fruit/dairy to the mix as well. i need carbs in the diet - especially when weight training. yesterday - b- greek yogurt w/blueberries l- *split lunch w/DH who is also banded* fried goat cheese salad, bowl of crab claws, bottle of wine d- slice greek flat bread pizza
  12. LOVE puppy breath - my crack:) she's already a trip! slim, i forgot one thing DH told me a few yrs back that changed the course of how we deal w/MIL and FIL ( i should say FIL is just a miserable man). he told me, she will never love me - might grow to like, so i should quit trying so hard. so i did, i mean i had them over every wkend, cooked (MIL even showed up w/her own tupperware for leftovers). but they are users, and don't value the adult choices of their adult children - so therefore both their adult children have chosen to limit their time w/their parents. 10+yrs together, kat - never ; ever got a card for b day - guarantee they have no idea when it is.
  13. fine line of standing your ground & not being disresptful (latter took a long time). big key - Hubby had to step up and deal or i was, and it wasn't going to be as kind. it's his relationship to own - not mine. ebony - take it nice/slow; actions/behaviours beat any words in MO.
  14. my mom was a great teacher in how to handle MIL's. my dad's mom was rotten to her & guess who the only one to take her shopping, get her hair done, blah, blah, blah. my MOM. barely anyone has much to do w/her - couldn't tell you the last time i saw her......she had no use for me as a kid & i knew it. her mom (great grandma, who she hated) is who i consider my paternal grandmother & miss her daily. kids are smart / intuitive. not much you can do but vent here & just teach better lessons to your son. while my MIL is the worlds biggest pain in the ASS, mom helped me deal w/her & the drama that comes along. take no shit, but w/a smile????
  15. fanny - your granddaughters are precious! slim - you erased your msg again. read it on the treadmill this am, and it's not there now.... sad for your son! tpg - say hi to your friend! 2 month time out????? wow - in new puppy mode - she ate my notebook power cord yesterday & have said NO about a million times. she still rocks & puppy breath beats any candy:)
  16. i break them all. my dr provides guidelines 'not' hard fast cookie cutter rules, that the band is a one size fits all. still afloat....
  17. no idea - but i'm not sure how an obese/overweight person can go into starvation mode .... maybe screw w/your matabolism some. my thoughts only. i lost barely 30lbs in the first 6 months & had my calories around 800, cause everyone here did that. my dr said no way - get yourself above 1100 and that really did the trick. while some are comfortable & lose eating 1/4c of food & take in 800 cals - didn't work for me.
  18. ha - it's really easy, while i'm bad at measuring i do use equal parts of meat: ground beef/ground pork/goat cheese/dried tyme/sun dried tomatos/1 egg/bread crumbs/s&p. i make mini loafs (freeze the rest individually). yesterday - b- half english muffin toasted w/almond butter & half peach protein yogurt smoothie l- spicy tuna roll (5pcs) s- soy chips d- greek flat bread pizza (one slice) few bites of greek salad, wine
  19. your not - i can assure you ! i think allowing yourself to eat, eat well & larger than what you hear / see people here write (1.4c food @ a time) does take time. but honestly - a .25c of food is NOT how we should be eating, ESPECIALLY those who are very active - such as yourself. when i kept my calories under 1000 - i stalled. now i maintain eating between 1000-1500, depending on the day & my acitivity level. i know days i exercise hard, i can eat a side of beef. re - charlene, that HH???? first jacket needed this AM when i stepped outside, LOVE it. have a good wkend all~
  20. have no pearls to offer, only good thoughts that you can come to a resolution w/peace.
  21. i will join you on tsday!
  22. not smart...:w00t: ok so my gym schedule of classes has changed w/teachers going back to school - so i'm all messed up & have to change up my routine some, wed - 1hr treadmill thurs - yoga today - spin class this afternoon , i'm a morning person for working out so i'll be interested in seeing how i manage this:)
  23. yesterday - b- 1 scrambled egg w/a few bites of english muffin w/almond butter l- caprese salad s- macadamian nuts d- grilled shrimp & veggies (zuchinni/mushrooms/peppers)
  24. yikes - bacon should come from a pig. i LOVE bacon, just take the real stuff in moderation ... i tried a bunch of the "non pig" variety and it just seemed like salty cardboard.
  25. hahaha - dogs' named RED, our red lab stole a smoked briskett off a neighbors picnic table as they were celebrating their daughters graduation. that was a fun call to get. we're in the country - so no take out / nothing. DH drove to dallas got take out chinese & delivered........we still laugh @ that one!!!
