  1. he's probably sneaked some, like he did dragging the turkey day bird off the counter & having a party while us humans were outside swimming. i try not to give human food - but 2 of mine are trash cans.
  2. because i have to limit his sadie snacks... michelle - i hope you don't think i'm being mean. while i don't agree w/strangers offering food to your child - i also see no problem w/popcorn if supervised,
  3. i think i ate popcorn while running w/scissors @ 4.... KIDDING, well not sure - but it sounds like me. *****non parent comment - so you ya'll can kill me later***** if your w/DD while she eats the popcorn i see nothing wrong w/it - same as an apple/watermelon seeds....??? restricting this one food group to her is like telling us we can never have a chip again - we want it that more. back to my dogs who let me lecture them ALL day long w/out issue:tongue2:
  4. interesting.... i've never gone fat free, when i want cheese/butter/etc - i want the real stuff ..., i'll watch the portion amt, but orange butter or limp cheese is not appealing. never had hair loss issues. to the op, some Protein choices: greek yogurt edamame Beans (lentils/black/garbonzo) tofu eggs also are you getting fruits & veggies in your diet? i must say i'm bad and don't take my Vitamins. just had a physical and am healthier at 40 than i was at 30. look at a balanced meal plan and not just focus on the protein component - which does help, but we can get lost & not pay attention to the benefits of nutrients from other food sources. hang in,
  5. he should send the mods a fruit basket or something???:blushing:
  6. hmmmmmm i'm playing glouc now - but was xbanded HH???
  7. nah - you don't have to ... you know how you should be eating & if it corrects that - your good to go.
  8. *i was nosy - had to go read the HH thread. if not mistaken he and failure/donna went at it in another thread.....that was a train wreck. *kat, you described the pouch test much, much better than i could. it worked for me....and i recommend, good luck beth.!. *ktork, you arent' eating enough for the running you do. plain gave a good suggestion, i did the tank test to get my BF% - i like that number better than the scale, but i do weigh wkly & never during PMS or after a high sodium meal:) *slim, have no idea if i'm cooking today - over did it yesterday:) *AWESOME ebony!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. sorry about your FIL GG, hope he's on the mend soon. welcome cincity & sassysara!!! yesterday - b- raspberry yogurt smoothie l- half mediterranean sandwhich on WW(hummus/feta/cucumber/pickled peppers/red onion) s- 1oz snappea crisp / 1oz fresh mozz d- spaghetti squash w/puntanesca sauce s- sf choc jello pudding cup
  10. oh - it's just a running joke. i'm a fan of the 5 day pouch test - there are MANY here that are agast' about it, it's not shakes all day as it sounds. but i've had 1 gain over xmas & 2 plateaus in the last 2yrs .....the diet jump started things in the right direction. many do it to get off sweets & carbs to get back on track. i see no harm / no foul in something that may/may not work for some. btw brandy - Red is 112lbs right now:)
  11. i'm very picky w/my dogs as well, i spend a lot on their food (nutro natural lamb/rice - get at feed store). my lab is a wunderlust - has 3 families that he goes to visit and plays w/their dogs. i have to tell them NUMEROUS times not to feed him..., and at first i didn't want to offend - but i weigh 10lbs more than him as of his last checkup 4wks back. his collar no longer fits & his ass is huge (takes after mom:tongue:). nothing wrong telling them, that you appreciate the care - they are on a special diet and going a few hrs w/out is better than disrupting their digestive system. ****says the lab owner who has had to clean powdered sugar off his face****
  12. * tpg -well i hope you don't leave / shouldn't leave, do let us know what happen. i will say, that this just might be a blessing. aftercare is SO much more important, and if you can't get quality attention BEFORE the band, what do you do when you have a complication??? as self pay - you got some options. * michelle - i just found snappea crisps @ whole foods....to get my chip fix in. unlike chips they are low in carbs/decent protein......might look into those. pretty day in dallas, however i'm a bit over 100 degree days......wouldn't mind if a cold front moved in:) happy hump~
  13. *ate a bunch - but i did lose weight having my band unfilled; so i had a bit of a party:rolleyes:* b- greek yogurt w/figs l- half tuna sandwich on ww, small cup of veggie soup s - 1oz snap pea crisps - new find pretty tasty d- 1c swedish meatballs (venison meat) on safron noodles. *kc - the noodles were awesome & love the protein component in them* s- 1 donut *didn't need it at ALL, but DH brought it in the house, and i can go another yr w/out one*
  14. you need to relax! & quit serial posting.....i say this with much kindness & joking - but really?? stress can really add to your band problems, so can your time of the month - if that's probable. i'm surprised you can't get into your dr right away - i've not heard of narrowing .... but if it's a problem there "should" be backup covering for your dr. if it's that misearble - and i haven't opened up every one of your threads ... just SHOW up to your dr's office. you can shrug someone off the phone, hard to do in your waiting rm w/other patients seeing your discomfort / dissatisfaction. i had a rough 3 wks myself - i questioned what the hell i did to myself ;;; still have port discomfort when i do too many core exercises or if the moon is full. it gets better, try to ease up on yourself a bit.!. see - i posted here.
  15. i have put in a request - many times & think only ktork took me up on it - for those loving the farming/pet stuff on FB to come to TX., i have the real stuff for ya. i'll supply the beer for tractor/mow riding:)
  16. mental note not to be eating when reading this thread - coffee OK; wine even better..... TAPS MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! puts it in bold happy bandiversary michelle!!! got nothing else - oops beth, let us know how DH is ?
  17. oh please do taz. i had gotten a chest infection & all the coughing had led to a lot of swelling & then reflux started in. my band was all but emptied and i had to wait a month to see if the swelling went down. i had a barium test yesterday & it went down fast / furious & was thankful to get a small fill. along the way i have had a few issues, but never let it get too far out that a small problem got worse. while changing your eating schedule, i would still get yourself checked out.
  18. see now rain would be the other "thing" to get me to run & run home:) today - 1hr treadmill
  19. if words don't help -take a pic of your plate at every meal and email "them". i bet after a day or 2 of your food choices on the hr - they might get the hint
  20. so it's not me?? i'll stick w/greek yogurt, which i stocked up on yesterday & tossed the carbmaster. banded in ohio, when my calories dropped under 1000 - i didn't lose. i'm decently active, i'd try to encorporate some exercise and play around w/your calories/food choices???? got a fill yesterday - b- raspberry carbmaster l- tortialla soup d- tortialla soup s- lemon italian ice
  21. oh my - if Pasta was on my list...mmmmmmmmmmmm i made ricotta bake for a LONG time to get my italian fixin' in:) thank you 123!
  22. oh glen - i hope the small unfill you had today is all you need:) your dr sounds like a gem. i did see my surgeon today, and my barium showed all was OK .. all swelling gone, so he was good to give me a small fill. he thought about it for a bit because i lost 3lbs under my unfill - but i had to explain that, that was due to many hrs in the gym to counter how much i was eating. he smiled and said to try this small fill out & ease back into a normal fill level. i noticed at lunch that i was satisfied w/half of what i had been eating. fingers crossed that stays the same, i have shin splints that need a rest:tongue:
  23. have no idea how far out you are - but i don't see how Pasta could be considered a mushy. were you given post op food guidelines? i'm a pasta girl; but waited a LONG time before diving in, and cheese - i get that too as i love queso. but there is a time for all that, i would think if your in mushy stage - you should find other food sources; check w/your nutritionist???
