I have been going thru this 2 week pre-op diet with out a hitch cooking meals for my family and it not bothering me in the least I have felt so strong and amazed at my will power and change in mind set.. Until today ... Only clear liquids today as I am having surgery tomorrow morning, I just made dinner for the fam and I am starving I want something. I need my protein shakes back. Never thought i would say that. I don't know how anyone did clear liquids for any longer than 1 day. Kudos to you. I just can't wait to go to bed for this day to be over...

  7. I've been thinking about this for a while. Haven't decided yet. Right now my goal is to be one hundred anything. lol. I'm so sick of the 2's. Ultimately I'm thinking 150 I would feel great.
  8. I am also on Tuesday. Nervous yes but excited to be done with it and move on to the next phase in my life. I just keep remembering why I chose this path and know that it's the right decision I'm sure my anxiety will be worse tomorrow and Tuesday but I am going to try to be strong. Good luck to you.
  9. I am being sleeved this Tuesday and since it is all that has been on my mind these last few months I started having random dreams about looking healthy and beautiful . It's amazing I can't wait to actually live the dream
  10. I'm ready. Spending the weekend getting things done around the house and prepared for post op as well as make sure everything is in order for my family... So ready to be on the other side. Looking forward to my new life... God bless you all
  11. Thank you. Ordered my unjury unflavored.
  12. Hello I am having surgery next Tuesday 10/14. Right now I am drinking Special K protein shakes and Boost glucose control, both of which were recommended by my surgeon. I am wondering if I need to buy a special protein powder for after surgery to try to get all my necessary protein in, that would be a lot of these shakes and I am hearing people having a hard time with getting in all the liquids. Would you recommend an unflavored powder to add to pretty much anything? Any advice would be great. Thank you all.
  13. I am also 10/14. Getting excited. ????
  14. I hear ya. The other day was my mother in laws bday celebration cake, pizza chicken parm oh my.. And this week I have both my brothers and my nieces bday parties. Really all while on the two week pre op diet... But I made it thru the first one and I will make it thru the next two and so will you. Just remember you made this decision for yourself. And be strong.
  15. My surgeon allows the protein shakes 2 fruits per day and unlimited veggies and two lean cuisines. I have not been eating those I have baked some plain chicken and eat 4 oz at Dinner. My snacks are my fruit twice a day. Never thought I would look forward to fruit. Lol
  16. My surgery is also Oct 14th. I started my pre-op diet on Monday. I am doing better than I expected occasionally I get headaches but I just kno this is all worth it. What diet did your surgeon give you? I know everyone is different
  17. Found out today that my insurance approved me so I'm on for October 14th just a few more appointments to prepare.
  18. Love it. So great to see the confidence keep up the great work.
  19. Never mind just realizes this is a sleeve thread. Hahahah
  20. Awesome which surgery are you having and what made you choose that one
  21. My nutrition appt is on 9/22. As far as I know the topics are about the preparing diet and the diet stages post op. Looking forward to hearing all this info. Dr. Gee basically told me I am a perfect candidate for either surgery after listening to the complications I decided that it did scare me a lil to have my insides rearranged. Although if it was my only option I would do it. She asked what I wanted to get out of the surgery I told her I don't need to be 120 lbs I just want to be healthy and live a better quality of life. I explained my goals do working out and working hard she did say that with the sleeve it does require more work on my part but I am ready for the commitment. I feel like I am getting a second chance in life and I want to make he most of it. What are your gi issues that made the RNY your only option. I do get heartburn I take Prilosec. If is controlled however it is more when when I eat certain foods so she didn't seem to think that was an issue. I do have an appointment on 9/22 for an Upper GI series so we shall see if anything changes.. See you on Wednesday.
  22. It went very well. I decided on the sleeve. My surgery is set for October 14th. I am also going to the nutrition class this week. Are you going to Danvers on Wednesday ? That is the one I will be at maybe we can meet.. I'm so excited and also started to make some changes to my diet to adjust.
  23. You look awesome. Keep up the great work and keep posting.
