  1. I'm definitely going to try the cookie dough one. Sounds great! Thx
  2. Can someone please tell me what a "slider" food is?
  3. @@MistyAnnMoon829 Congratulations!!!!! I'm so happy for you. :)
  4. I just love your positive attitude!
  5. Please count me in too. I've never done this before. Exciting
  6. I am so sorry to hear this. I would def appeal again. Keeping you in my thoughts.
  7. You look absolutely amazing!!!!! I would suggest seeing a psychologist to help deal with your body image issues. I am seeing my therapist too because I've always seen myself as overweight no matter how much I weighed.
  8. I weigh myself everyday. I feel like it really messes with my head though. I need to weigh only once a week. I let the scale affect my mood. I think I need my husband to take the scale away. I see it and I weigh. Not good
  9. Hi! I feel the same way. I keep wondering why I'm not losing weight as fast as others. I had a stall for 13days. Then lost 2.5lbs over 2 days. Then gained 1lb the next day and am now down again....But I've only lost 2.5lbs in 17 days. I lost 11lbs that first week after surgery. My surgery was July 23rd. I keep wondering what I'm doing wrong...not eating enough, eating too much. I just don't know.
  10. I would like to join as well but can't seem To find it. Anyone?? Private fb page? Please ;)
  11. Hi Misty. We've talked a couple times and I just wanted to say I completely know and understand what you're going through. My stall lasted 13 days. I didn't loose any weight starting the 2nd week after surgery. Today is 3 wks, exactly, from date of surgery. This is a crazy process....
  12. I would love to join the private fb group as well. Please
  13. @@sunny2day I feel the exact same way. I really expected to lose so much faster. It is discouraging. It is hard not to compare our weight loss with others. I often wondered before I had the surgery "what if I do all this and it still doesn't work". But I have to say, reading others journey is encouraging. Knowing others have stalls or slow wight loss. It definitely helps knowing we're not the only ones. And we will be successful.
  14. I absolutely love reading these. I'm not there yet but will be. Congrats to you all!!!! Just amazing. So much hard work and it's paying off. Way to go!!!
  15. @ Bufflehead Thank you for your kind words. I will check out the other info too
  16. I stay between 600-800cal. Not really intentionally. I just log my protein and the rest of the info is put in as well. But I'm worried my body thinks I'm starving it. I want to lose of course. Lol
  17. I'm soooo glad this thread was started. I had my sleeve done on the 23rd of July. I've been very lucky and didn't have any issues either. I too wondered if it was working. Lol. Although I haven't lost any weight this past week and 1/2. Wondering what I'm doing wrong. How many calories are y'all trying to eat?
  18. I have the same gurgling noise. I also had a hiatal hernia repair. Hmmmm, let's hope it goes away as everything heals.
  19. Hi! I am 5'1", 41yrs old, and started at 220lbs. My surgery was done on 7/23/14. I have lost 12lbs. I am also curious how others of my height, weight, and age are doing.
  20. Hi! Just curious, who is your doctor? My doctor told me the same thing. Mine is Dr. Darin Minkin
  21. TEXASLADY52. Thank you so much for the tip on the protein powder. It's becoming harder and harder to choke down protein shakes. Having something odorless and tasteless would be amazing!!!!!
  22. Congratulations! You look great. No tummy tuck needed.
  23. Hi! Yes. I was denied. I sent a letter asking for my insurance to re-evaluate my case. I gave them my medical history and explained why I thought I was a good candidate for the surgery. I did call and follow up. Didn't want to get lost in the shuffle. So to speak. My doctors office told me that 50% of their patients who appealed to their ins. ended up getting approved. It worked for me! Good luck! I think most insurance companies just deny and hope the patients don't put up a fight.
