  1. Wow didn't even know they made that. Good to know!
  2. Definitely want to get it, thanks for your opinion!!
  3. I can relate to all of you as I am in the same position. Meeting with my doc this Thursday and will bring up fill though he told me he does it between 6 weeks and 6 months out ( I'm 2 weeks and on puréed food). I try to limit my food to the amount specified and drink enough to fill me and am counting on feeling more restricted when I get in the green zone, but it will be a learning process until then. I've been weighing everyday and am down 10 lbs but didn't weigh today. I'm going to try to break away from the scale and focus on my measurements and exercising and getting more active. Good luck to everyone here. We are all here for each other!
  4. Good luck with your surgery!
  5. I use Muscle Milk Protein powder which tastes pretty good. A huge container of it costs $22 at Walmart or BJs. I've heard lots of good things about PB2.
  6. Thank you so much for this recipe! I'm going to purée it for my mushy stage! Mmmm can't wait!
  7. There are a lot of fashionable brands like Torrid (completely plus size), Wet Seal, Dots, Debs, Rainbow, etc that have great clothes for plus size women up to size 4X or size 28. You just have to know where to look! Don't give up!
  8. 1. Chana Masala 2. Palak Paneer 3. Ballea Chickpea salad 4. Stuffed Grape Leaves 5. Carrot-Ginger Soup!
  9. Lap Band. Getting over the pain and healing slowly. Feeling much better then last week. Lost 6.5 lbs this first week You can PM me if you like!
  10. I'm still on full liquids (8 days out of surgery) but I'd definitely recommend the flavored broths, they were a lifesaver. Just know you don't have to struggle through with just beef and chicken!
  11. There are a lot of great flavored broths out there: miso ginger, Thai style, hot and sour soup flavored, etc. All right there in the soup aisle. Check it out and if you have a Trader Joes by you they have great options too!
  12. I have the Mirena IUD and it's the best. I am almost 28 and married with no kids. The IUD lasts for 5 years. I am planning on getting it replaced one more time then we'll reevaluate where we are kid wise. It also can stop your periods! I haven't had mind in almost 4 years its the best!
  13. I read that the stationary bike and treadmill are okay as are swimming but to wait a few more weeks on heavy lifting. Congrats!
  14. I'm thinking of getting the fitbit!
  15. Can you make a smoothie? There are lots of great recipes online like, cinnamon roll, oatmeal cookie ones etc.
  16. I'm 6 days post op and have had a lot of gas as well. I've taken gas x and it's helped a lot! Feel better!
  17. Thanks. Same with me. It gets worse in certain positions.
  18. Hi All! I am 6 days out from surgery and my stomach feels almost back to normal except by the port site. I have bad pain there. It feels like I pulled a muscle badly with sharp pain. A heating pad helps. Is this normal? I feel like it may have gotten slightly worse as I've gotten back to my routine. Did anyone else experience really bad port pain?
  19. Good luck!! I just got banded yesterday! Wishing you the very best! Xoxoxo
  20. I had my surgery yesterday and made the mistake of weighing myself. It said I gained 6 lbs! I know it's fluid and swelling. So I completely understand. Don't worry I am confident this comes off. It seems a lot of people gain weight right after surgery.
  21. I too am scheduled tomorrow at 9am! Good luck to everyone else! Xoxoxo
