Does 14CC Band give same restriction as 10CC Band?
I have the 14cc band better known at the VG or Vanguard and I have good news for all you who have this, you must be Patient and it will finally allow restriction. I am not patient and have been worried as I had absolutely 0 restriction and my surgery was 11/15/2007 however I had my 2nd fill 01/22/2008 which put me up to 7CC and the next day I found out what restriction feels like for the 1st time, it is amazing. I truly can only eat small amounts and now I must chew chew chew, so hang in there and know it will work it just takes a few fills to get there. Also everyone is different you may get restriction on your 1st fill but if not-Hang in There! Danna

The Scale Won't Budge
:angryI am getting so frustrated, banded 11/15/2007, 1st fill 1/26/2007 3cc in a VG band which holds 14cc. The scale has not moved in over 5 weeks. I am eating protien first, never eating and drinking together. I started working out this week everyday a minimum of 30 minutes. I definately see NSV as the inches are coming off but would like to know if any of you have experienced this and when does it surpass? Next fill is scheduled 1/22/2008

Share your NSVs!
Taking less medicine each day, using the stairs instead of the elevator for my morning meeting at work.... Lovin it!!! Just feeling like living life :<)

Hi all, I believe I fit into the nymphs as I had my surgery on 11/15/07. So far I am down a total of 36#'s. The majority of which is from the 2week pre-op and 1 week post op. I have the VG band and am scheduled for my 2nd fill on 1/22/08 I can not wait as I feel no restriction yet and the weight loss has come to a halt.

Not feeling any "different" after having surgery ??
My surgery was 11/15 and I feel just as you explained, I can eat and drink more than I expected but do feel a little bad when I over eat. Hopefully the fills will fix this.

Post Op Depression
Is it normal to feel ups and downs after lap band surgery, my surgery was 11/15 and went extremely well. I did not even have gas pains but now one minute I feel like crying and the next I am okay? Have any of you experienced this and is their a time limit this goes on for?:help:
