  1. Ohhh ya the sugar free popcicles are my best friend , sipping water, jello, chicken broth ! Had almost a whole 5 oz container of Greek yogurt ! Just hope that things get better!
  2. So I'm 3 days out, just sipping Water , g2, sugar free popcicles , a bite of sf Jello , but that's it! I tried a few bites of Greek yogurt and that wasn't happening! My surgeon said just work on staying hydrated! Anyone have any words of wisdom? Is this normal ? Is this because I'm just 3 days out??? Sarah

I don't want to sugarcoat anything for you so I'm gonna tell you just how it is when you got out of anesthesia you're like oh my God it was awful it was awful pain the first night was awful and if it was because of the gas that you fill up your belly with I bought Gas-X strips and brought them with me but they they didn't really help I need to give you a lot of pain medicine but it still doesn't help at all and then the second day I was better today is the third day and I'm doing like 100% stomach still hurting! I can't even think about drinking any protein shakes right now I'm just trying to stay hydrated sugarfree Popsicles ,sugar-free Jell-O just sipping water that I can't even think about anything else I had a little bite of yogurt and is just too much, but I'm very mobile, up walking around! First nite was rough , just prepare yourself as much as podsible

Coming out of recovery was awful but the second night was awful as well after the second day I was a little better today is the third day I'm doing much better I'm able to drink liquid having a little bit of yogurt a little bit of Jell-O so I'm tolerating stage III which is good but now I got the pain in my stomach and the gas is still there. So I'm just taking it easy and relaxing make sure I got my liquid then just sip sip sip
  5. Ya finally here!! After a whole year of all the appointments and tests and cancellations and insurance forms and more forms and let downs and what not! This has been a long road , but I am ready to start the second part of my journey! Have to check in at 10:15 not sure what time the actual surgery is! Will be back to let everyone know how it went!!!
  6. Went to Fenway park last night to see tom petty and the heartbreakers! We'll my sister, best friend and her boyfriend all went. The seat were so small we were stuffed like sardines, we are all obese people! It was aweful because I kno people were starring and pointing and laughing! We'll surgery is only 2 days away now, that's all I kept telling myself! Hopefully that was my last " fat trouble" :/ Sarah
  7. I was so worried about a catheter too, but my surgeon doesn't use them since the surgery isn't very long! That was a relief

  9. Thank you sooo much! You really covered all the basis for me! I'm glad I had my Gaulbladder out, it was laptascopic also and so I kno what to expect with the surgery part! And your right , I wanna be proof that this surgery works! I wanna be another success storey! I can't thank you enough for taking time to write that! I will post back after surgery! Enjoy your day!   10. Ok so I'm super excited but yet so nervous for the unknown ! It's not the actually surgery part, it's the unknown of my new stomach! And some friends and family are starting to voice their concerns, " oh it sounds so painful" " just try to loose it all the regular way" we'll it's a week before and I have been dieting since I was 11 and I am 29 and just getting heavier!!! Can anyone give me any tips for the hospital and when I get home from the hospital? Comfort suggestions ect. Thx all! Sarah

  12. My doc took blood too, but what tests they are doing he didn't say , I just figured the normal stuff! I wouldn't be offended! Just think there is. Whole team of people who will be working with your blood. There may be differAnt precautions and procedures for patients with HIV. As their immune system ect. Is differAnt than a patient without! Not and expert just assuming lol! Good luck when is your surgery date ?
  13. starting to really freak out!!! Went to the hospital for all my pre op testing yesterday! Being in the hospital really made it hit that it's here finally! A whole year of working up to this working so hard! I am a little nervous though, because the day before surgery I have to go in for a pic line because I don't have good veins and they can't waste hours trying to find a good one! I've hers horror stories about getting those out In! On the plus side down a total of 25 lbs. I'm nervous and excited rolled into one!! Eeeeekk????

  15. Ok so I went with the bariatric multi vitamin. Seems to have all the main ones suppose to have, and got a good deal. 30 day supply jic I don't like them !
  16. Thx everyone for all the good input! I as we'll have to bring my vitamins in, as my nut said no flinstones either ! Every surgeon is so different! I went ahead and ordered chewable multi vitamin from bariatric choice! Just a 30 day supply , so if I don't like them , I'll try a new kind! Happy Monday all, one day closer to my rebirth ! ????

  18. I need to buy my multi vitamins to bring with me to the hospital as my NuT said I will be taking one right after surgery! I would prefer a chewable to be on the safe side, but also need all the important things that must be in it!
  19. When I got my approval letters I got 2 separate ones, one was stating the approval for the gastric sleeve itself , the other was the approval letter for the impatient hospital stay! But u must have been approved , because what else would the hospital stay be for! Good luck! I hope your date is soon!

  22. Wow! I'm crying happy tears rt now! Just to know , there are so many others going thru this / have gone through this! I am also in a very venerable state , emotions are all over the place as the surgery date is finally here! I too wondered why after that boy said it twice, why his dad said nothing to him ! But it will make me fight that much harder! Thank you all. I'm so glad I've found this forum , you are all amazing!!!!
  23. Today as I was at work a little boy says daddy she's fat , daddy daddy look she's fat! I held back the tears till I got to the bathroom, god it hurt so bad! And the fact that he was an innocent little boy , who was just calling like he saw it , is what hurt the most. Having that happen just made me more ready that ever! 9/3/14 I will be reborn!
