  4. I have moved to soft/moist foods. I am down 22 pounds. Feeling great!! My one incision is causing me issues. It is healed on the outside but the stitch in the muscle is just causing pain.
  5. @@Cynthia ... My doctor did not place me on a mandatory weight loss program prior to surgery. I am 5'6". My starting weight was 264, pre-op 258, and no other medical conditions. You will go on a 2 week liver shrink diet 2 weeks before the surgery.
  6. Ginger, I just recently had hungry pangs but usually close to the time of a "meal" which is blended food/liquid. As soon as I start eating, I am full. I was around food during the super bowl and was not tempted at all.
  7. I am just one week post-op and I am down 16 pounds. I have to keep telling myself this will slow down.
  8. One week post surgery and I feel great. Tuesday into Wednesday was extremely rough, but now I am on Step II diet (blended foods, all blended to a mush). Hopefully next Monday I move to Step III. Down 16.4 from pre-op weight. What an amazing journey!
  9. Tomorrow is my day. I report at 8AM! I should be released on Thursday, 29th.
  10. Tomorrow is the day! I am so very excited! Good Luck one and ALL!!!
  11. Yes, endoscopy was today. All is well and I am "a go" for 1/27. Final meeting with nutritionist was today as well. I am excited!!
  12. Getting scoped tomorrow. I started my liver shrink early because I am so excited. Been doing pretty good! Prayers to all of the January Sleevers!
  13. Saying prayers for all getting surgery today!
  14. I am using the premier shakes from Sam's Club but was wondering what powder form everyone is using to add to broth. I am getting tired of the sweetness of the drinks
  15. My endoscopy is January 9th. I've already completed all of my pre-op tests except the endoscopy. I will also be meeting with my nutritionist for post-op diet. I am hoping January goes by rather quickly!
  16. Hi! I am so excited for my upcoming surgery. I have already started to prepare for my link shrink even though I am not scheduled for surgery until January 27th. I figured if I start now, the last 2 weeks will not be that hard. In addition, I have business travel the week I was to start my liver shrink. I am finding the Premier protein from Sam's club is working quite well for me. I still get a little hungry before lunch, but I supplement with a piece of fruit. My scope is next Friday (January 9th) so I am well on my way to a different lifestyle. Thank you for letting me share my story.
  17. I am the 20th .. I don't live in NJ, but we can still support each other!
  18. I am scheduled for January 20th! I am getting all pre-op work done on Saturday, but my scope does not happen into 1/9. I am glad I will be able to enjoy holiday food (in moderation) and then I start the liver shrinking diet 2 weeks prior to surgery.
  19. Wishing luck!! I have my surgery scheduled for January 20th. I am very excited.
  20. My paperwork should be submitted this week. I am praying it will not take very long.
  21. I have BCBS IL and when I reviewed the policy/requirements as well contacting them several times, they never told me of the one year waiting period. I am going to check tomorrow. Thanks for the information!
  22. Hi! I have BCBS of IL and recently found out the 6 month requirement was dropped. My primary care physician is making the referral and I have an appointment with nutritionist on 9/9 and behaviorist soon after. I am hoping to have surgery by November/December! Praying for fast approval!
