  4. Hey Pik. So sorry that you're having strictures. I am as well, I'll be going in Friday for my 2nd endoscopy. Looking forward to feeling better soon.
  5. I feel the same. I used to love food & cooking. I loved using fresh ingredients and cooking from scratch. It's just really weird right now. Nothing is appealing, nothing tastes good. A very strange experience. The plus side is that I've lost about 45 of the 83 pounds that I had to lose and I'm only 7 weeks out from surgery. I hope that I can stop the weight loss when it's time.
  6. I brought an extension cord for my phone charger and was glad I had because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to reach my phone.
  7. Thanks! Just saw the doctor today. He suspects a stricture. I'll be having an endoscopy next week. Hopefully that will help. Has anyone had one? What should I expect?
  8. Thank you everyone. I'm still throwing up a lot so I'll call Monday for an appointment.

  10. I'm post op 4 weeks. I've lost 23 pounds since surgery. Over the last week and a half my stomach has grown more and more sensitive. There are very few things that I can eat without throwing up. I'm basically back on full liquids and even then, I throw up. Today I was only able to keep down 2 oz of cream Soup and 1 oz of yogurt. I'm also having trouble taking my Vitamins. I'm taking Zofran for nausea but it only helps a little. I've called the doctor's office twice and the nurse says that this is normal, but I'm not sure it is. This morning, I had to pull over three times during my commute to work and all I had consumed was a few sips of Water. Thoughts?

  15. I agree that gallbladder was a cakewalk compared to RNY.
  16. I did clear liquids for 4 days, full liquids for 2 weeks and puréed for two weeks.
  17. I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and work hard to get my 60 grams of Protein every day. I was curious, how many calories are you all consuming each day? Is anyone on MFP?
  18. I still struggle a bit with scrambled eggs. Meat of any sort still doesn't sit well.
  19. On my full liquids phase, the low sugar v-8 was allowed. It was a welcome change from all the sweet tastes!

  21. I am just over 2 weeks post-op and have really struggled to get all my protein in because I dislike the taste of the protein drinks and powder. So I ordered a powder recommended on one of the boards and it arrived yesterday. I love it! At 11 am, I already have 67g of protein. I had one scoop in my V-8 and a second scoop in my Crystal Light. I can't taste it nor did it change the texture of the drink. It's called Genepro and I ordered it directly from the manufacturer.
