  2. Thanks OMLAGIRL AND CSS95 for sharing your nice experience with all of us,I'm sure this will help many of us I'ts also nice to have someone there that you can call if you feel uncomfortable or even if you have a silly question, I also speak a little spanish not fluent, but I think I can manage :eyebrows:,
  3. newblew I've heard that for other types of surgeries you do need to at least remove the nail polish something to do with the oxygen level measuring :phone:, I’m not a nurse , but would suggest to remove nail polish at least in any case. = Does any one know if there’s any Nextel signal in Tijuana ?
  4. I'm getting one week off after my surgery I guess it's better than nothing, good thing is that I don't do any heavy lifting but I do alot of walking:faint: I think that will help me too, I was reading that that helps with the gas pain .
  5. Thanks Sunshine, I'll keep that in mind. Omalgirl congratulations!!!!! I'm sure you will be fine, don't forget to keep us posted.
  6. Good to know I´m not the only one feeling kinda nervous, I´m not sure how much time off work I can get and I´ve been hearing all kinds of different time frames for recovery
  7. Thanks  I don´t think I can get that many days off, thats why I´m kind of confused right now, although I hear that every one is different but still kinda nervous. On the other hand thank goodness for pain killers
  8. Hi Sunshine What meds were you taking? you think it was probably the pain killers? I'm normally on the go, I don't think I can sleep for a week.
  9. How much time do you really need off work, I had originally asked for my vacation time after the holidays and first was told "no problem" and now of course they said NOT A CHANCE!!! so I was thinking maybe I could take only a couple of days off ,any input????
  10. Newblew I was on the phone with Laura today she was very nice and informative, now I'm just waiting for my financial approval and hopefully I would be able to meet you I'm thinking more or less around the same day of your surgery. And yes ...yesterday I got scared I tried to log on to LBT a couple of times and nothing ,It's nice to have such a friendly and supportive group I'm sure more questions will come as my big day gets closer...thank you all
  11. You look great!!!!! a real inspiration...
  12. No soda for me will be harder than to stop eating, instead of coffee in the mornings I wake up with my soda
  13. I have been doing some research called couple of doctors got an answer from Dr Gonzalez office the same day ,they are in Tijuana and for me that is convenient if I buy my tickets a couple of weeks ahead I will get a good deal.
  14. I guess with every doctor is different , the doctor I spoke to last week offers Free lifetime fills NO LIMIT, for me that is a plus!!
  15. I did call them and they were very nice and patient with me, *(I had many questions ) thank you very much for your advise this is very important for me and my future and it´s nice to hear nice things from someone that already went trough this. thanks xoxoxo
  16. About that...I´ve heard not so possitive things about beliteweight, I just read today on another thread regarding their poor after care and that they are very desorganized and so on, so you might want to look in to that.
  17. Also looking in to surgery in Mexico, so far I've called 3 different clinics and so far only one has returned my call the clinic is in Tijuana and their qualifications sounds very good , so I'll be waiting for the others to call back and see what they offer.:ranger:
  18. One thing that makes me feel better about having it done in Mexico is that they have many more years of experience than here in the US, I've been reading and according to many of their websites they started using the lap band in Mexico more then 10 years ago, so I guess Other than my money issue I have one more positive thing to take in to account.
  19. Hello everyone I'm 52 and every year for the last 5 years I seem to be gaining 10 lbs per year I can't take this anymore, I cannot afford to have my surgery in the US so I'm looking in to a couple of places in Mexcico, I'm very afraid about having it done in a foreign country but I have no other choice the surgery cost here in the US is way out of my budget
  20. Hello everyone!!!! I'm also new and self pay, cannot afford the surgery in the US, so I'm looking in to a couple of surgeons in Mexcico, I'm nervous and frustrated at the same time, I don't know if this is normal but I'm taking my time to make the best decision.
